Low cost airlines are also know as budget airlines. I read something on the Internet which said traveling around the world on a low cost airline is possible these days.
Europe to Asia would be cheap and easy. Then it is easy to go on from Asia to Australia. Next it is possible to fly from Australia to Hawaii. There is a low cost flight from there to Vancouver. There are low cost flights from Canada to Europe.
Some say that an around the world ticket bought in the UK would be expensive. The same ticket bought in a cheap country would be a fraction of the cost for example Bulgaria or Thailand.
Have you ever been on a low cost airline?
If so how was your experience?
Would you like to fly around the world using low cost airlines?

I have tried JetAir from London to Malaga, Spain.
Quite comfortable for a short journey. In
Malaysia, AirAsia is very popular. Many Malaysian
travel using AirAsia for domestic and international
flights. During promotional period, it is even cheaper
than the bus fares!

I have been on low cost airlines a fair few times and to be honest I have always had good expriences! I heard about the new low cost airline starting up in Thailand to give cheap regional connections in Asia and they sound pretty good!

Hi Maximax! I have gone to Singapore lately and i got it at 120 SD only! In our country, we have the Cebu Pacific Fares that charge you only for a Peso for any destination here in our country. But you have to book it real fast because the vacancies get taken real quick.

When I lived and worked in Asia, I flew to one of the islands there for a vacation using a low cost airline. It was the type where you personally had to put your bags at the back of the plane. It was a noisy flight as the plane was turbo-prop, but thankfully it was a short one.
Flying around the world would mean longer times up in the air. And I would prefer the big planes for that, even if it means it's a little bit expensive.

I would love to travel around the world, but not sure if I would do it on a low cost airline if the rest of them are like Ryanair. I really didn't like Ryanair.
You'd use half the time getting to and fro airports in the middle of nowwhere, claiming to be in a big city. Then you couldn't get any connection without a lot of time in between, as they don't take any responsibility for being late where as you lose your place if you are late. Then you have to pay if you don't bring the printed ticket, not very convenient if you book it somewhere without a printer. And what happened to the paperfree society anyway? I want to travel on my card or code or passport, not a lot of A4 papers *grumble* Then they're far too rigid about weight regulations, we had 200 grams too much in our suitcases when leaving Dublin so we had to repack. Not that I'm fond of shopping, I don't need a lot of extra luggage when going back, but that's too rigid for me. Can't be because of fuel, then they'd have to weigh the passengers too. Pretty sure they want to but aren't allowed to.
Rant over :-)
Only other low cost airline I've used is Norwegian, and they're quite OK. Not as low cost as Ryanair though.

I don't mind flying short haul on a Budget airline, for example, between Ireland and Mainland UK...I Flew Easyjet to the French Alps for a ski trip a while back, which was fine too,but regular economy flights on any longer distance journey are pushing the envelope for Me..Long distance,I'd prefer some comfort..

I no longer bother even checking out the low cost airlines when i want to travel. On the route I take most often, the so called 'expensive' airlines are only a small amount more expensive than the cheapies by the time you take into account all the additional charges. And that extra few pounds is well worth spending for the better experience!
