Hello Lotters, Space interest now a days isn't as exciting as it used to be, but space diamonds? come on statement had it that the star probably a dead neutron or something and that so called planet is a lot bigger than Jupiter with regards to it's size I wonder if i get stuck there filled with diamonds, i'd be rich if i get home with at least some of that. If I ever get home that is(:P)? Besides, I've seen that movie the core about a scene where there's diamonds under the mantle, we should try exploring that maybe we might find something. not a referral link. http://news.yahoo.com/astronomers-discover-planet-made-diamond-180427124.html

Actually...it's made of diamonds, not full of diamonds. You'd have to mine the whole planet first lol Thanks for posting this though! I forgot that I saw a link to this article a few days ago and I've always meant to read it but I guess I was tired.

Hello maryjane, It's full of diamonds inside but sadly the gravity is so heavy,no ship might ever get a chance to lift off once they have landed. there's actually a youtube presentation of it and seen it as clear. have a nice day

Hi. It's made of diamonds. I think there's a difference. The video doesn't show anything and it's an artist's rendition based on scientific observation. At any rate, this is all so fascinating!

Yeah, I would love to visit that planet. I would love to steal the planet and make some jewelery from it. xD Haha... Now seriously, thank you for sharing this great article. It was very interesting reading it. I would love having my own diamond planet.

Hi, thanks for the answer. =] I will definitely watch the video, because that's very interesting. This is another proof that space is unlimited and that we can find a lot of stuff that we haven't even imagined. Bigger planet = more diamonds xD

Hello em1, Mining can be a good place to start there, it's nice to know that you have read the article. you can actually find it also in a video in youtube. the planet is indeed bigger than jupiter. Have a nice day.

hi LK, i guess that would be interesting, but no thanks. i would rather stay in our earth where there is plentiful sunshine, water and greeneries. i guess thats being practical right? diamonds wont be that precious if there is so much of it. ann

Hello tiger-aunt, Hehehe who would wanna go there anyway if it's really not that important. who knows the diamonds aren't really that worth if you can't come back. I've read that the gravity is so heavy that it can cut stars. Have a nice day.

That is, if you get home. LOL I haven't heard of any planets made of diamonds before but if there is, it's worth researching on.

Hi sweetie. I would go live there, but diamonds don't impress me at all. I can live without them though.

Hello Saphie, Well, what's the worth of going to a place whereas you are not even sure as to whether you are going back or not. it's pure diamond and there's no air or atmosphere or any king that is obviously favorable to human life. have a nice day.

I'm not sure. I think that would be so pretty though. I think that would look like a glistening, magical place.

Hello steph, I agree but i guess going there with a craft and not staying there for the mining itself. indeed but we can't breath there as there is no atmosphere or oxygen there. have a nice day.

i would love to see that planet of diamonds if given a chance. but i don't think i can live there for long.

Hello Neildc, No body would want to live in a place where there is only diamonds with no water, air, plants and even food isn't available too. you can send a robot there though but i strongly doubt it can last a llife time. probe usually Die for some reason when ever they are in space. Have a nice day. Neildc, No body would want to live in a place where there is only diamonds with no water, air, pla

That would be great if there were space diamonds. It sure is fun to imagine the possibilities.

Hello Keola, that's right it's really cool to see the possibilities we couldn't expect. have a nice day

There must be something out there somewhere that we could potentially explore for resources. Think about how huge the universe is. Hope I get to see some sort of exploration before my time is up.

Hello Deans, I don't know what technology can be used when mining for Diamonds but that is definitely good for people who likes to sell jewelries. but who knows we might get there some day, it won't go away in our life time. Have a nice day.

Based on the number of years it would take to get there and the time to get back, that's just impossible. Besides, the amount of money needed for the preparation just to get there would make us all bankrupt already. Besides if someone can bring back that much diamonds back here on earth just imagine the impact of it on the price of diamonds, that would literally make it worthless.

Hello Ybong, I agree unless we have ships that have unlimited fuel, oxygen and adequate food and not to mention hyper-space technology, there's no way that we can go on a two way ticket to that planet farther away from our own solar system. Have a nice day.

therefore, when you migrate there on that planet where diamonds are abundant.... then you will realize that diamonds were not the most precious stone but back to the salt.... because salt there are rare, and diamonds are abundant and that is the reason why.... long long ago here on earth, salt is considered a white gold for the people living very far from oceans and seas....

Hello mantis, Well, I didn't really say I wanted to stay there since i need water, oxygen and food first before anything else. but if some of those diamonds are taken back to earth, they will be really good of value and probably a lot of people will eventually become rich selling those.

Well if a got a piece of diamond I don't know what to do with it. If the planet is made of diamond and it must be its integral part of it. If we take diamond from it may leads to destruction of plant just like deforestation had lead to extinction of many species.

Hello hafiz, Didn't you know that diamonds can also be used for better armor. In science Fiction movies you can actually use diamonds to create lasers and light sabers like in starwars

The planet of diamonds can only be the name it got in the articles :) the real thing doesn't have to be diamonds at all :) Dense metal can be shiny too you know. But if I were to fly to a planet full of diamonds like that I would remember to bring a mining pick and a cart :D

Hello Tomek, the actual view from the telescope didn't really show actually stuff that indicate the diamonds. but of course one of the scientist pressumed that if you put a light on it and sparkle then it's a diamond. Have a Nice day.
