hubby and i have not used credit cards for several years. if we want something we save for it. we also have an extra job that brings in extra cash to help. as for saving money, use your library, plan your meals, make lists and shop accordingly.

My husband and I have decided to save up some money for our next trip and we have to spend less money every month to reach our goal. We have many pets and we save a lot of money on their food because we always buy a huge bag of food inside of many small bags. We do the same things when we buy food or other things for ourselves. There is a cheap supermarket in our town, they don't have all of the things that you can buy in other supermarkets, but the food and the other things are cheaper than the things you buy in the big supermarkets. We save electricity by switching off the things that don't use and we don't turn on the heating in the rooms that we don't use much.

There are lots of ways to save money and to live economically. Actually, to grasp the tips of saving money is becoming more and more important for us because of the economic depression and inflation. For me, i take the followings to save money: 1.try to cook by myself and go out to eat much less times. because of the inflation, prices of almost all goods are rising, especially the foods, for example, the price of eggs doubled in the past years, and the price of pork is rising month by month. This means we have to spend much more when go out to eat, with the same amount of money, i can cook 2-3 days of good dinner for the family. 2.try to ride a bicycle and take buses. 3.try to buy summer clothes in winter, and vice versa, actually, i am thinking to buy some clothes online. Online clothes are much cheaper than buying them in the shopping mall.

We have a strict budget that we adhere to and whenever anything extra crops up we try to deduct it from somewhere else. For example, my friend and I enjoy having coffee together every Saturday morning so I decided to cut back on make up by buying a five dollar foundation instead of a twenty five dollar one in order to have spare cash to pay for my coffee. It is a matter of being realistic about one’s income and not relying on credit cards too much which I know is much easier said than done!

Well I don't really earn money but do get monthly allowance from my parents. What I do is, I save 30% of it. I mean as soon as I get it, I put it in the bank and use the rest of it. Well that is the only thing I do, I know it's not much but anyway it adds up.

Cut coupons, shop around dont just but, look in second hand stores before you look in other stores or online, pick up spare foood from food banks, save all your change, don't buy something that won't be well used

One thing I have done recently is to take the public transport, buses and trains, to go to places instead of driving my own car with the gasoline price rising so high. I used to drive to my work place before, but these days I take the bus. Going by bus takes a bit more time, but it does save expense.

I look for recipes that use as few ingredients as possible and I plan out a weekly menu. Also when I go grocery shopping I only buy items I need instead of buying everything in sight. I also try to make meals that will give us left overs. I have a savings account where I have a certain amount of money transferred every month. Also, try saving your change whenever you go shopping because after a while it adds up.
