Hello Mylotters! It's too hot. Sun shines brightly in the morning and in mid afternoon it rains. Sometimes it's a mixture of sun and rain. Aside from dengue, cough and colds are on their way. There's still more..a HEADACHE. Every time I went out, by the time I'm home I always have a headache. Do you guys have an idea on how to avoid these stuff specially the headache? It really ruins my day. I don't want to take medicine and already drink more fluids but still the pain is there.

Sunglasses! From you get up in the morning, until you go to bed at night.. wear sunglasses. The strain on our eyes from squinting in the sun can cause a headache.
Also, the heat can cause the blood vessels in our body to heat up and expand.. this swelling also causes headaches, and sometimes fluids don’t fix this as quickly as we’d like. Try laying down for a half hour, with a cold wet flannel on your head.. this should help your head.. and if you find you are waking up like this every morning, try sleeping with the flannel on your head!

oh yes a cold flannel really does work for a headache!! it's what i do.
you can actually get these things from a chemist that are cooling gel strips, and they stick to your forehead and they are cold! and you use those for a headache too :)

all right then. I do have one left here but never thought of that because it was intended for my cute little boy. He is prone to tonsillitis, every time he eats sweets like ice cream and chocolates and I can't bear seeing him having fever. I don't let him eat sweets but the problem is most of the time when the yummy chocolates and ice cream are on the table I lost my mind. Then, later on I wonder why he got fever and after a day or two I let him check with his pediatrician and bingo it's tonsillitis. I always got amnesia after I gave birth. OMG!
Thanks.

Wearing sunglasses may help if the glare is causing the pain, but if the problem is allergies you may have to find a medicine or herb that helps fight allergies.

hi there. I'll do that. The glare of the sun nowadays is so painful for the eyes and maybe the result of headache.
I think I do have allergies in my skin. When blood sucker bit me, my skin was too itchy all over my body and I felt dizzy later. Do you know what's the over-the-counter med for this?

Benadryl or diphenhydramine is one that is good for allergies, but it will probably make you sleepy. I take Claritin, its other name is loratadine. It does not make me sleepy. Do your stores have pharmacists that will help you find medicines?

If it is too hot for you to stay outside, then you should avoid doing so, or you can put on some shades over your head to keep the direct sun ray fallen on you and try to drink more water to replenish your loss body water, so that you remain hydrated for whole day. Your body response system is telling you it can't go on like that with you continue to take the pounding from the heat wave, so it caused you to feel headache, msay be you need to slow down and cut down your exposure and time outside while the temperature is rising and remain high.

hello zhawee! For dengue you experienced a very high fever and it's gone after a few hours then come back again on the next day almost same time and still the fever is so high. Mine is just when I go out and is so hot outside. Maybe I need to wear shades then as what chicks and garden suggested.
happy mylotting!
