MY elder child thought she was going to school me on what A Game Boy is. I was 13 when Game boy first came out. That's not as bad as yesterday though. She and little sis were listening to their favorite music channel and some band comes on singing a cover version of "Whip it". I made a comment about them not being the original artist and she gets all teen angsty and says " UH yes they are actually..." I stared at her in disbelief and was like " WOW! You can't be serious." Okay I'm not exactly innocent in this kind of thing either. I remember being surprised a few times my self as a kid/teen and learning a times that some thing or another that I thought was new and unique had actually come by or even before my parents generation. I do see now what my parents must have been thinking every time we thought that we knew something they didn't. Have you ever had any experiences like this?

This is alittle different...We moved into a new community with power lines are underground, we visited family in an older community with power poles in their yard, and my daughter asked "What are those?"...It made me realized how things have changed.

Do they understand that all those old Gameboy and SNES games are coming back again as monster multi-gigabyte, disk filling, graphic intensive games that only the most expensive computers can handle? And that the tiny screen on the Gameboy has been replaced by PC emulators that show the games full screen on your computer, which are much more enjoyable.
