Forex trading

I have been reading recently about Forex trading. I have a little money saved in a paypal account. It wouldn't be much, probably about $50 from mylot and similar, but I was just wondering if anyone has used Forex before, and if they had had success with it? I am good with maths and understand statistical models. Did well in Business studies in school and managed to understand trends in the market and share and currency prices. I was just thinking that it would be great if I could put my free time (about 4 hours a day or so) into managing a Forex account? Any suggestions one way or another? If not I'm leaving it in my paypal account. If it was in my bank, I'd spend it all tomorrow!

for weeks now, i have been trying to understand this forex thing. it is something which has made some people rich. however, until now, i have never tried my hand on it. i just don't have the right understanding yet on how to keep things going thereat. this means that it would be better for me to stay off it for the moment. perhaps when i will have a good amount of understanding as to how forex trading really goes, i will try my hand on this thing, too. but, if indeed, it is a game for the excellently knowledgeable with good sums of money, i am afraid this is not for me either.

Websites like www.oanda.com can be helpful as they have a practise account for you to try out your strategy :-)

With gains or losses measured in thousandths of a cent, I don't think $50 is going to take you very far! Forex is a toy for the big guys to play with. They manipulate the market so that they win and small fry like you lose.

Ahhhhh ok. I had read that investments can be made with $25 or so. I might look at one of those forex trading demos and see what happens over a week with virtual money. You probably are right there though. Thanks for your response.

I have often wandered about Forex also. I want a fast return though. I do not know anything about investing and what companies to trade with and trust. I just put my money in my savings account and draw a little interest that way.

Since you have studied Business at school. I am sure you are very well aware of the trends and the risks in the forex market. If you are interested in the market, you do have to first of all make yourself updated with the latest trends for different currencies.
