The first country in Eastern Europe that I visited was Hungary and I loved seeing the city of Budapest. I found the price of a private room very cheap. I was in my twenties when I visited gorgeous Prague. I found a little town in Cesky Kromluv in the Czech Republic which I adored seeing and spending time in.
Have you ever seen any destination in Eastern Europe?
If so how did you find the prices?
If you visit anywhere in Eastern Europe for a free weekend where would you go?

The first places that I visited in Eastern were Prague and Budapest. I liked both places a lot. Last year my husband and I visited Sofia in Bulgaria, Bucharest, Brasov and Bran in Romania and Bratislava in Slovakia. In Sofia we visited the Russian church and a beautiful park. In Romania I liked Brasov the most. While we were there we went to Bran to see Dracula's castle. The food in Romania was really cheap compared to the Danish prices. One day we both 2 soft drinks and two main courses at a Restaurant, and the price was about $10. In Denmark one main course often costs $20 or $25, and we were very surpriced when we got the bill. I liked Bratislava a lot, too and I enjoyed my visit there.

When I was 18 years old I found visas expensive and all countries in Eastern Europe required a visa. My choice was to go to Hungary because I was very keen to visit Budapest. I also liked Brasov the best in Romania. The place I stayed there went round another castle as well as Bran. I am delighted to hear that you had such cheap food and drink prices compared with Denmark. You and your husband seem to go on some excellent trips.

You should know that we also have very expensive hotels and restaurants in Romania and if you want my advice it`s not worth it.
Our food taste is great but it will make you fat because we eat a lot of pigs,we have pretty girls but they will try to take advantage of any stranger, and we have a lot of thieves so be careful when you come to Romania

I have visited Prague and loved it.It certainly is a city that you won’t forget – with its friendly and helpful people (don’t be put off with their brusque appearance, they really are charming when you get to know them), the incredible fast, clean and inexpensive transport system and the incredible sights there are to see there. We booked our holiday through Expedia and we had an excellent choice of hotels to choose from; as we wanted to be able to visit as many places as possible on our visit we opted for a central hotel that was near to the Charles Bridge, after much searching we eventually chose the four star Golden Wheel, (I know not very Czech sounding!) for its location and because it looked a more traditional hotel than a lot of the more modern ones on offer. We opted for the ‘Junior Suite’ which came with a dressing room and a terrace offering a view of the city, the cost with breakfast for a 5 night stay cost us £597 in April, with flights costing just less than £400 it was just within our accommodation and travel budget of £1000.

I am really pleased to hear that you visited Prague and had a very enjoyable time. I really liked walking across the historic Charles Bridge. Staying at the junior suite must have been fantastic. I am so happy to find out all this came within your budget.
