Habit drinking

Drinking - A drinking table of students at their boarding house

Drinking seems to become a habit of many people. They can drink anytime, anywhere. They'll drink beer or alcohol. Any events can be a reason for a drinking table: getting salary, seeing each others after a long time, to escape fatigue after a working day etc...They can drink much or little. Students even have drinking at dormitory or boarding house. Almost men have drinking everyday. Women are, too but they drink little than men. Is drinking popular in your country? Do you have this habit?

drinking has become a culture for men and women alike.in Nigeria the story is not different as you see mostly men retiring to the drinking joints after work and at times you see women too.i personally do not like drinking not that i don't drink at all but i don't drink out. but as a psychologist i know that drinking has a long time effect on the person that drink. it might not manifest immediately but as the person grows old the person starts having finger dexterity although all cases of this is not caused by drinking but it has a role to play in it .

I do not drink. I dont like the taste, smell, or feeling it makes. I hate the stuff thanks to my birth mother and her drunken friends. I think the stuff should be illegal. A neigbor of mine is a drunk too. He and his drunken friends have caused me many sleepless nites. Other neighbors of mine think i should be calling the police on them. But i really hate the police just as much as i do drunks.

hello, Yes, this is true it is really popular in our country because we are really happy when we enjoy things with other people especially if we miss each other. But I am not drinking at all honestly because I don't really like the smell of it and the taste either. ha ha So, it means this is not my habit at all.

It's good because drinking is not your habit. I think it's interesting if we drink a bit to congratulate each others. However, we shouldn't drink too much and too frequently.

Well I do drink but it's not a habit. Just during some special occasions or when I'm meeting up with old friends or when I am stressed. It's hardly once a month.

My country is of hot weather condition and so to think no reason at all to drink but drinkers in my country you may say are or maybe trapped into vise most especially when they do not have enough to support their drinking habit. In other countries they are used to it because of very cold weather to heat up themselves. The youth just follow believing they are in with the trend. Mostly the reasoning for adults especially those working is that it is a part of business as you need to socialize.

I don't have that habit. I drink a couple times during the week but that is about it. I do not get drunk and when it is time to eat, work or go to bed, that is what I do instead of continuing to drink more.

Here in the UK over recent years, there has been a habit of binge drinking with many people. It seems that they don't feel that they've had a good time until they are falling down or even losing consciousness. In my youth I was considered to be, for a while, a heavy drinker. I worked in nightclubs as a musician and would be drinking every night, but I never drank so much that I couldn't do my job or fell over. I am paying for those heavy-drinking days now with health problems and really wish I had never drank so much. The problem was that as time went by, I didn't feel any effects of alchohol because my body got used to it - well it was more likely my brain did, my body was slowly building up health problems that I thought I would never have. In those days, drink wasn't seen as that harmful unless you were an alcholic, which I was not, but it still took its toll on my health. It's a shame but many youngsters who drink don't listen, even to people who have had problems. _Derek

I use to be able to drink socially but find that I do not prefer as I did before. Very rare but occasionally I will. Yes it is very popular in my country but there are women who can also drink just as heavy as men as well. Although I do not know the statistics but I am sure there are heavy drinking women as well here just as the men.

One bar is nearest to my office i see always lot of peoples surroundin eachother and they wont give way to peoples to walk i see them large number when there is any festival or special government holidays.
