It's fall in Minnesota...tonight it's supposed to freeze and its only Sept. Two days ago it was almost 90 out and today the high was in the middle 50's! It's going to take a few days to adjust..just in time for it to warm up. On the news tonight they said that in Norther Minnesota there were a few snowflakes this morning!! Yikes! Has your weather gotten cooler yet? Are you already missing the warmth of summer?

It has been cooler in Ohio too, but in the lower 70's, which is a change since we were also in the upper 90's not too long ago. I do miss the warmer weather because between the stupid math class I tried to take over the summer and then I got swimmer's ear, I didn't spend as much time in the pool as I would have liked..:(

Crazy, isn't it? It's not supposed to freeze here, but it's getting pretty cold out there and there's a long ways to go until the coldest part of the night. It was in the 90s here yesterday, too, and the high was 61, so we're slightly warmer than you. I'm not missing summer, though. I don't like the heat. I want to get all out of the garden that's possible before the first frost, but then I'm done and I'll be happy to put on warm clothes and watch for snow.

I meant the high today was 61; sorry about not making much sense. It's raining right now and 49 at around half past midnight. The house is cold, too, but I'm determined not to turn on the heat for another few weeks! They already had a frost around an hour north of here.

It's cool enough to be pleasant today -- high eighties, I'd guess. Should still be in the fifties tonight and the rest of the week. I hope it doesn't frost until all what's left of my dying tomatoes get ripe. This is normally just right weather on the California central coast.

Our weather has been crazy. It was 100 degrees about 3 weeks ago but it's been in the 40's the last week or so and windy. It's in the 60's today and cloudy. My body has trouble adjusting to the hot, cold, cool and then back to warm. I turned on the heat about 2 weeks ago just to keep it comfy in the house. Was rather chilly in the mornings. Eventually it will settle down and be freezing out there. Maybe then I should clean closets....lol

Yes, the weather is much cooler and I love it. I don't have to run my air conditioner or my heater. Three days ago we had a 100 degree day. Today the high is 60 degrees. I'm loving it. Next week the temperatures are supposed to get back into the 80s, but I'm fine with that. I'll take the cooler weather any day over the awful heat.

Hi Jill!
We only have two seasons and that's the dry and wet season. We are currently in the wet season but not everyday is raining. There are days that it's just freakin' hot like summer so I'm not really missing summer.
I don't like summer much as I prefer cooler weather (but not with rain). September is supposed to be cooler compared with the first months of the wet season because September is supposed to be the start when we can feel Christmas in the air, in other words, the cool Christmas breeze. But I have not yet felt that breeze and I wish I will soon.

I had the air on for the entire afternoon here. We will likely have to run the a/c on many, if not all, days until at least the end of October. I'm thinking that it is likely that we'll even be using it some in November.
I am a Northerner. I am not in the North. Therefore, even when it does "cool off" here and people are wearing jackets, I'll be walking around in tees.
I miss the North. I miss fall foliage, normal temperatures, changing seasons... I miss snow... and even ice. I miss real rainy days; here, it is generally just a shower or downpour and back to the sunshine. *Sigh* Oh, and did I mention the humidity here?
My boyfriend is now quite clear on the thing about me belonging in the North. His mother, however, has it set in her mind that we'll be staying. Not unless the Devil is in need of a sweater and some ice skates...

Hi jillhill, the weather here in the south is just breaking, the temps are falling as for now, however you can never tell about the weather here. It just might start climbing back up again. Today it was hot but by evening it got cloudy and the temps start dropping, for the next few days we are suppose to have nice cool weather, but by Monday it is suppose to go up again. We just take it one day at a time. We have had short sleeve weather during the Thanksgiving season.

I would give anything for some rain or just to feel a cool breeze on my face. It has been so hot that the grass is now yellow. So I am not missing summer. We had thunder and lightning a few hours ago and at least thirty drops of rain. The sky was so dark and then it all drifted out to sea. I heard that we also had a a 5.4 earthquake this morning but to be honest - I did not feel a thing and no damage was done anywhere thank God. I know that you do not want a long cold winter and I hope that you do not get it but right at this moment, for a little while - I almost envy you.
I say almost because I am not envious of anyone. Blessings

Hiya Jill,
Brrr that makes me shiver with cold already the Day before yesterday it was very cold here it had gone from about 30 degrees centigrade right down to about 17 degrees centigrade.
The next Day after that it had shot up to nearly 30 degrees centigrade again but now the heat does not last so long thank goodness so it cools down much quicker.
Thanking God for small mercies in this case as we have had very hot sticky Days for Weeks now with very little Rain either.
So Summer has not left us yet but its starting to die off slowly very slowly at the moment.
Hope its not too cold for you though over there.xxx

Hiya Jill,
So its starting to get much colder over there then than what I thought. Curious as a lot of Trees here are shedding their leaves but not too many and changing into Autumn colours as well. But we still have the very hot Weather till the Weekend but much more tolerable than up to now.

Well, we still have the hot summer weather down here. It will be another month or two before we start to have a chance at some cooler weather. Our highs this week will be in the high 80's and lows only in the upper 70's. To tell you the truth, I'm kinda sick of the warmth of summer.
I wish I had a little of that cooler weather you have!

The weather hasn't quite dropped yet, but I'm sure it will one of these days. Not looking forward to that at all. I need to get new laces for my winter boots. I am really not looking forward to trudging through the damn snow, slipping on the ice, and freezing my azz off at the bus stop.

It was in the low 90's here in Missouri at the beginning of the week and it was into I believe the low 50's or high 30's last night. My son wore pants to school for the first time this school year this morning because it was pretty chilly outside. I am enjoying it being a little cooler and not having to waste money on air conditioning, but I am not ready to start turning on the heat just yet.

We've had about the same kind of weather as you. It was beautiful for a few days, and got pretty warm. Then last night it rained all night, and today and tomorrow are going to be in the 50's. I guess it's supposed to be nicer this weekend, thankfully. We have a big festival in town which we plan to go to, so I'm glad it looks like the weather should cooperate.

We're going to Garrison today through Sunday. Warm lined slacks, check. Warm cowel neck sweater, check. Mittens, check. Tights, check. I think the season is done permanently for the year! BOO HOO! I better make a ton of money this winter! It will help ease the pain!
