Procrastination anyone?

One of my favorite tongue-in-cheek sayings is, "Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow!" I can think of almost anything that is preferable to doing housework! I can make a list...vacuum, mop kitchen, pick up and get rid of daughter's stuff left lying around, dust? gasp! While making the list, I look around in dismay and a feeling of overwhelming reluctance and/or futility comes over me and after a few deep breaths the urge to clean passes. I can check emails, blog, play mohjongg, work my Avon web page, assemble catalogues and samples, watch tv, or read. After any or all of those things, it is time for bed. Oh well...there is always tomorrow.

You know, housework never goes away. I have cooked today and done some dishes, but that is about it. I have been trying to convince myself that sweeping is part of my fitness regime but it does not work. I am sitting in the recliner typing away and drinking coffee and that is probably the most I will get done today.

Who doesn't procrastinate when it comes to housework? or things they don't care to do? Sadly a time crunch is always a good manipulator for me only problem is I don't get things finished if it's on my own working on the time crunch. The internet and tv are great time wasters or means to kill time w/o leaving home but yet the mess remains. The joys of a SAHM.

I have to be in the mood to do housework! I don't know hwy I'm that way because I love looking at a clean house but there is always something more attractive to do. I guess it's human nature. I do have a jar full of slips with jobs on them. Every so often I'll pick one out and force myself to do it!

But isn't today, yesterday's tomorrow? Seriously, there are times where I get caught up in the game where I am going to do something but I decide it can put off by later for something else. I try and get everything that I need to get done as soon as possible but there are just many times where I tend to really get tied up over not doing things. Of course, if I put it off to tomorrow, I'm going to have to do two days worth of work, unless I put that off as well. Once we get rather get trapped in a never ending cycle. Hence why I never try to procrastinate to say the very least. There is in fact always the next day, but I try and not think that, as it is going to put me behind and bad things happen when I'm behind.

I'm kinda like that too, I am always loaded with school work and things that I need or want to do. I always draw up a mental picture of what I will do first and what I will do last to get everything done on time. When I start, I find myself spending too much time on one thing and forgetting all about the others. Yeah, there's always tomorrow to finish off but I always gets this nagging guilty feeling, knowing that I won't finish something on time. So I hate the feeling of procrastinating.

When it comes to procrastination, I'm a kind of hero. My mom always compain that I have a really dirty habit of over-procrastination. Things doesn't seem to work out for e at the right time. Life could sometimes appear to be bugging me and sometimes I ail myself down to do some work and it doesn't turn out well. Anyways, I always try to build a new man in me. Trying my best to avoid procrastination. Happy mylotting. Regards, Ajith.

Ah, so many kindred spirits here on myLot. My dishes are in the sink, but I just fixed brunch -- eggs, toast, an orange for me and a Serbian tomato salad for my husband. I don't like raw tomatoes except in sandwiches and salads where they are only a minor ingredient. Last night I did spend a few hours doing bookkeeping I'd been procrastinating on for three months, and today I must get some bills paid. I should probably work on my web site, too. But here I am on myLot. I need to take a walk later today and also go to the other house and take all the trash over, since tomorrow is trash day and I have to get the cans out. We don't pay for trash pick-up here. I don't do real housework on Sundays, but I've got to get started sorting and getting rid of things --tomorrow?

I am a procrastinator. I do things tomorrow when I am not in the mood today. I do that. I feel bad about it. Most usually it is because of the weather. I do not like to work in a hot environment, that's why.
