With all the expensive charges, and lack of services, plus few channel choices, once the agreement is over, I immediately called up their 1 - 800 to cancel my dish network service. I called and going through all the tedious voice option, finally, the representative routed me to the billing department. I had spoke to a gentleman, I forgot his name, otherwise, I really want to file a complaint against his rudeness over the phone. I clarified my demand to cancel my service, since I am not satisfied with them. He kept on promote other plans, and so and so..... for over 15 minutes. I grew impatient, and told him, "Look, when I lost the signal for over 3 days, I called for help, and your company simply want to charge $70 for dispatch a person out, or sold me this insurance plan on a monthly basis." Now, I want to cancel it, you keep on stall on it. He also grew impatient, and talk to me rudeness about you get what you sign up for, and you are abide by the contract, and no one force you to do, etc...." I just hung up on him. Does anyone know how should I file a complaint on dish network about their phone service?

He probably can go online to the Better Business Bureau and see if their are similar complaints. There might just be something there that can direct him too as to where else to complain and or to assure anyone who reads knows about it.

hi kikngparker soounds like something you could take to the
better business bureau since this representative did not seem
a bit helpful or concerned that they are losing s Customer
over bad business practices. I believe th BBB will get on the dish network's case and maybe get you some results.hOPE SO AT ANY
RATE. It does not appear that that representative is going to
help you in any way.

You can call them again, look for a different customer service rep, and if you have the guy's name, give it to the new rep and ask them (nicely) to file a report about the guy's behavior. If you didn't get the name of the guy, just ask the rep to file a report about rudeness.
Hope it works!

Yes. You could try to do that too. I hope the new rep isn't just rude.

I cannot stand Dish network.Where we were living for the past 2 years they had Dish and we had no choice in channels
.And they did not have a good variety of channels. But,as far as Dish,at that place and nearby restaurants that had it there was a big problem.Every time the wind blew, even a little bit the service would go out!
If I were you I would call the BBB(Better Business Bureau).

We have Dish too and ours goes out often too. We live way out in the country though so I cannot complain much. I would report their service though, to the BBB if they did not hold up to their deal.

Oh my gosh that's got to be incredibly annoying. I've had customer service reps. put up quite a bit of a fight - have been really PUSHY about trying to get me to keep whatever service it is I was calling to cancel, but eventually I've gotten everything cancelled. You just need to hold your ground and tell them it straight. It's their job to try to keep you "happy" (AKA - paying for their services). What you should do is call customer service again and demand to talk to a supervisor. Maybe just having written down the time you called will help you file a complaint with the employee. Who knows.

Same here. That really makes me mad when they are so pushy. It makes me feel like getting rude with them. Sometimes I have had to.

I would keep on looking for an address to the CEO of the company and write a letter stating everything that had happened. Then I would go to a news channel and tell them the story, they usually like these stories. I heard only bad things about the dish network. I have Directv and I love it. They have every channel under the sun and then some. Now, if you pay a service contract as part of your bill, they should not be charging you for someone to come to the house. Now, before I start writing letters, I will call back and get the supervisor on the phone and then the supervisors supervisor. I would keep going until I reach someone at the top.

Hi, kingparker. I think that you should contact the BBB. I would speak to someone and file a verbal complaint to them. This should allow them to contact the Principal of this company about your complaint with the Dish Network representative. This rep can't get angry because she refuse to remain as a customer to their service. That is what I dislike about them. They will feed you all of this bologna about other plans that they are trying to offer and when they see that you are not feeling it at all, then that is when he chooses to become defensive. Well, that is not your fault at all. Besides, who want a service with any company, that has a sassy representative that can't even act professional!
I can't understand how some representatives are able to be so rude
and still keep their jobs!

Yes, you should definitely file one...
they are wrong, and I also hate it when they keep on promoting stuff you don't need and just keep on talking abut it, calling you bunch of times to promote the same thing.. You should definitely file a complain so no one would be treated that way again.

The only way to do it is to call them again and ask for a manager. A rep will want to know the nature of your call before they transfer you and will insist that you give them information first. I would simply say I have called on such and such date and got the run around and I am calling to voice a complaint.
Hopefully they cancelled it for you, so you want to make sure you confirm this as well. The rep you spoke to most likely will not put in the call report that he was rude and you might still be on the plan.
