I wear a head scarf due to loosing hair from chemo. So I was nervous that they would make me take my head scarf off. I saw the woman in front of me have to have one picture with her glasses on and one with her glasses off. So I braced myself for having one with the scarf on to wear to work and one without it for a file. But she let me wear it for both.
The school had students and teachers both get their pictures done on the same day. Previous years, teachers came in during the summer and students took the picture after the school year started. But that required the photographers to come 2xs. I think they might have saved some money having everyone's picture taken at the same time.
Have you ever lost your hair and had to have a picture taken? Has your school done anything to try to cut down on the cost of anything?

I sw someone mentioned about the glare and glasses, but I don't know about that. When I had my student ID picture taken, I had worn my glasses that evening and they didn't make me take mine off..
As for the head scarf, I am not surprised they didn't make you take it off..Why? Because in the Muslim religion it is forbidden for a woman to have her head uncovered in public, so if they had you take yours off, then they would have to make a Muslim woman takes hers off and she won't do it.

Yes, same with men wearing yarmulkes, but there are also women who are German Baptist that cover their head as well as some biblical faith women, so it isn't that uncommon..

When I was looking on the internet for Head Scarves, many Hijab/Hajabs (spelling?) came up. Some were on youtube and were beautiful. I also looked up tying head scarves and how to wear/put them on came up. They knew I wasn't muslim. I was wearing a wild red and white bandana. But yes, in the interest of equality, they would not be able to on those grounds. Same with yomikas (spelling?) for Jewish Men, I'm sure.
But I think it was mostly because they probably thought I would cry, turn red, or something. I don't know of anyone who wears any kind of veil here. The Catholic Church used to have women wear veils in all churches. Now only a few Cathedrals in a few parts of the world have women wear them. All the old pictures of Mary and most of the Modern ones (Jesus's Mom) have her wearing a head scarf. When I played Mary in our Church's Christmas Pageant, I had a long flowing piece of cloth to secure to my head.

When I worked in schools most recently the teachers and students all had pictures at the same time. In another district that is larger they had the equipment to take photos and make badges and took them upon hiring. Either way it probably saves.

Probably. It was much, much faster when teachers went in during the summer. I kept letting the students go ahead because they only had a study hall time to get theirs done.

Very true, but she had one picture with and one without. They had me do both of mine with, they just told me to angle my head differently so they could get rid of the glare. They let me keep my glasses on.

Well i have never had cancer so i havent lost any hair at all. Im sorry for your loss but you went through chemo and you seem to be very happy and living life and in life being happy is what counts the most. I hope you have a great day everyday as you were a cancer victim at one point and im glad they didnt make you take your scarf off.
Now when iw as in school the teachers and the students and the classroom pictures were all done on the same day and they probably did save money by doing it this way.

They call us survivors now.
Thank you for everything.
When I went to school, we only had year book pictures. No IDs. My how times have changed.
There are other reasons why people loose hair. That just happens to be mine.
Yes, happiness is definitely the most important thing in life.
Thanks again, take care, peace and love.

No I have not had this situation before, but would do as you if I were. I am glad they were understanding and allowed this for you. It surely has to be difficult for anyone who like in your position as to take an identification picture and not allowed to wear the scarf and or hat in some cases.
I have not been in school for years but customary here that they do plan a massive picture day for all students and teachers to be photographed on the same day, which I am sure saves money as it is one trip and set up fee involved.

Yes, it was nice of them. Maybe they thought I would cry or something. It will be interesting to see when I get work. Most schools have rules against hats in school and some against anything on top of the heads because of gangs. I'm supposed to order a wig, someone was supposed to get back to me about that.
