There is no recipe for finding your true passion. When it exists for you, you exist for it. Passion is natural. Passion exists in normal people too. It is in the care for of a mother for her kids. Doctors who give up gifted futures to practice medicine in a third world nation are passionate. Educators living on small salaries are passionate about teaching. People are passionate about living by the sea or hearing beautiful song. On a less grand degree, a true passion can be gathering beanie babies, construction of Lego’s or racing cars.
The dynamic power of passion creates immensity. People with passion have an inner blaze that fuels the spirit. It gives importance to life. The trade off for feeling great happiness is the tender sorrow that can be its complement when things go wrong. Experiencing passion is the variation between living and just existing.

Probably my strongest passion is for my daughter. She is the only reason for my being. After that would be my pets, my parents, and my brother.
I used to have a passion for teaching, but I don't any more.
I like my current job a lot, but wouldn't say that I am passionate about it.
I would like to find a partner I could be passionate about. I was passionate about my ex husband, and that didn't get me anywhere.

Well said. That is why it's important for all of us to try out new things. Who knows what we end up being passionate about if we don't try it out? We should find courage in ourselves to help us take the first step in trying out new things. You see, sometimes the first step is the hardest.

No, there is no recipe for finding our true passion. It is a part of growing and knowing who you are. Good teachers may help to give you a cross section of the worlf to help you in finding this but for the most part you come upon it yourself. When you find it is a love affair that lasts you a life time.
