Vacation with a friend

If you wanted to buy a vacation for you and one of your closest friends which destination would you choose? Which kind of vacation do think that your friend would prefer: An active vacation where you visited a lot of places, a relaxing vacation at the beach or something else? Would his or her ideas about a good vacation be different from your own ideas?
My best friend and I have very different ideas about travelling. She likes to relax all day and she is not interested in sights, museums and that kind of things. I love to visit a lot of different places and explore a new culture. If I wanted to arrange a vacation that my friend would enjoy I would arrange a beach holiday in Spain or Greece and I wouldn't plan much sightseeing, because I know that she finds it boring.

Hi Porco, i am waiting to receive mail from you...Usually if i want to go vacation, i will prefer to go with my friends who have same interest with me. At least, both of us will enjoy our holiday to the fullest. So far, my friends are same like me, loves to sightseeing a lot and even explore different cultures and having the fun to taste different types of food. Now, i am saving towards my vacation to your country and same other Europe countries as well...

I have been postponing the emails to my friends recently because the my unstable internet connection. It is hard for me to stay online for a long time at the moment, because I lose my wireless internet connection over and over, I hope that it gets better soon.
I look forward to welcoming you here when you get the chance to visit Europe 
My husband and I are also saving up for a trip at the moment. We want to visit the UK and Ireland. Maybe we will travel in 2013, but we are not completely sure yet, it depends how much money we are able to save up each month.

I think both you and your friend would return disappointed as planning for something that one of you like will mess up everything. I once went with a lady friend and this after discussing the entire plan together and while on holiday I came to know of so many issues that messed us up. I was a morning person and it would disturb her if I got up early and vice versa. I was always on time; she was not. It was a package tour and there were others who were strangers to us until we met them. She befriended some of them and I was not comfortable with them..........I could go on and on.

I think that there are two possibilities. It is possible my friend and I will experience the same thing as you and your friend and get disappointed because our ideas about "the perfect holiday" are very different. It is also possible that we will be able to learn from eachother. Maybe I can learn to be a more relaxed and maybe she was learn to be more interested in other cultures. I like the way that I usually travel (lots of activities and sightseeing all day) but it might be good for me to try something different for a change.

I think differently Porco..Holidays are for enjoyment and not a learning experience. I learnt nothing from my companion anyway!

If vacation is the topic I have nothing in mind but relaxation of course so I always prefer a relaxing place. A beach holiday is the best idea to me. I love the sight of the sea. I don't really swim a lot but I love just seeing the view, the waves, the sight of the heaven and the sea facing each other and also the cool breeze around the beach. It is a heavenly feeling for me.

Í have never gone on a beach holiday. I live on an island and we have several nice beaches, so for the me and the other people who live here it is very easy to go to the beach. I can actually walk from my home to the beach, I have never been able to do that at the other places where I have lived, so it is really nice to live so close to the beach for the first time. The only problem the weather in my country, the water is always relatively cold, but I still like to spend time at the beach and sometimes we have a picnic at the beach

me and y bestfriend both love to travel to different places, experience new things and culture. he does field work so he has all the chance to go to a lot of places while I am doing office work so i don't have the luxury of time. but once a year we try to have a few days vacation together and we prefer places that are not so commercialized where we can experience and be with nature.

It is a great that you and you friend both love to experience new things and cultures. It is a lot easier to travel together when you like some of the same things. I like your idea about visiting places where you can be with nature. I live in country where there are many small islands and I love to visit them, because they are beautiful and peaceful. I also like to visit cities with lots of sights, it depends on my mood and the purpose of the trip.

What's great with my friends is that we all love to travel and explore and bum around all day. So if we're going out for a vacation, we'll probably have a mix of bumming around and exploring sites.
Most probably though we would go to one of the local beaches here in the Philippines. Since our country is an archipelago, we have a lot of beaches that we can go to and explore. Most beaches here have hotels and party places near-by. All places have a heritage that it keeps or a site that it boasts.
For example, if going to the famous beaches here, bohol, palawan, boracay; these places boast of great white sands and an amazing underwater life. Snorkeling, helmet diving and scuba diving are popular

I would like to visit your country one day. I live on an island and I live very close to the beach, but I think that it would be interesting to visit the beach in a country like the Philippines, where the climate is different from our climate. In my country the water is always quite cold even the middle of the summer like July or August. I still go swimming sometimes, but I don't usually stay in the water for more than a short moment, because it is simply too cold. When we leave the water we always run to the car in order to get dressed as fast as possible

go to Changzhou to enjoy the Dinosaur Amusement Park.
go to Nantong to watch the nice beach
go to Shanghai to see the enormous building

I have never heard about a dinosaur amusement park before, we don't have something like that in my country. I think that China could be a really interesting place to visit. One of my friends visited China some years ago and she enjoyed her visit very much. She would like to go back to China one day. I have never been to Asia, but China is one of the countries that I would visit if I get the chance to travel around in Asia.

I would like to relax a coule days maybe by a pool side at a nice hotel were people serve you all day long drinks and good food LOL. I just want a relaxing time at hotels. I would like to go to Las Vegas and do come gambeling and watch some shows too some comedian shows would be great as me and the boyfriend would love this as we like to do these kind of things and enjoy ourselves together as well.

It sounds like you and my friend like the same kind of vacations. She also prefers to relax when she goes on vacation. I have never been Las Vegas, but I would like to spend some time there if get the chance to visit the US one day. I don't think that we would do a lot of gambling, but I am still curious to see the place.
