Making money taking over your life?

A couple years ago, I used to just spend my time playing games online or working on crafts or reading books. The days of leisure. Then I discovered Mylot, and subsequently, several other make-money-online websites, and have since then become ADDICTED. Making money is my life now, and is my motivation. I never spend time on computer games and such, and my free time is just focused on schoolwork and making money. Nothing else interests me anymore. I know this can be a bad thing, but those activities seem so pointless now that I have an end goal in mind. Is anyone like this as well? Please share your thoughts and opinions. Happy mylotting everyone! Annie

If you are making money on the Internet based on hard work, like an employee or a freelance worker working really hard from dusk to down to make some money, then it will surely take over your life. But if you know how to make use of "leverage", like "leverage of technology", the way we do, you can make money even without much straining yourself. We just let our money making website help us make money online. You can, too.

I really don't know how to respond to this but I think I am addicted to this but i don't think its for the money tho its a great incentive and I could use it. I just enjoy being on this site more than facebook because this is something new I just have to get bored of this but I doubt it, you can start a new discussion about anything and just wait for comments. Just enjoy don't overdo it I guess

Haha, same! I'm addicted to Mylot, not only because of the money (although it is good incentive), but also because of the great community. You meet some really cool people from all over the world, and you learn a ton about various issues. So I guess it's better to be addicted to Mylot than anything else. Welcome to Mylot!

Thanks for accepting me to the community and I do agree its better to be addicted to this site other than Myspace or Facebook if they could upgrade this site a bit without changing much and making a mobile site I would delete my Facebook and other social sites

That's true. Our main goal in life should be to try and achieve balance. I sometimes find myself focusing too much on money, so I've tried to ease up and start doing some other things. But it's just too fun! Haha...I'll try taking up some new hobbies I guess. Happy mylotting!

I think a person can become addicted to just about anything. I think sometimes actually feeling addicted makes you think intensely and there for you can find some more interesting ways to make money or whatever. You are more 'in the zone'. I think it can get out of hand but everything in moderation.

Haha, that's true. Maybe I'm not "addicted" addicted, but more like...I love making money online so much-addicted. Which I guess wouldn't really be addicted... And yes, maybe it's just because I find it so entertaining, I'm focusing on it, so it just makes me seem like I'm addicted. But if that's the case, then you could possibly addicted to anything. Making money online is fun and everything, but like everything you do in life, you have to take it in in moderation. Balance is key. Happy mylotting!

There is so much more to life than just making money. there is family and friends and so much of nature and the world to enjoy. I hope i never come to a point in my life where money takes priority over everything else.

Haha, same. Money-making online hasn't COMPLETELY taken over my life, but I do see it as more entertaining than some of my old hobbies. Family and friends are still my number one priority in life, and my education comes second. Then going down the list, making money online is one there. I just see it as a form of entertainment that I prefer now, but fortunately, it hasn't become my number one priority :P Happy mylotting!

At first I was just trying to wrap my focus around making money. It took so many years to figure it out. So, I guess once you start making it online it can become addicted, because you are always looking for ways to make more. Even with me having a full time job, I still look for ways to make extra money. It may be for shopping, the children, or the holidays which I might add are fast approaching. You should enjoy your life, but then again it takes money to do that.

So true! I know how many people say that money doesn't buy happiness...well, that's true. But sometimes, you need to buy things that can help make your life happier. I know that may sound bad, but it's, in the end true. You need food, water, clothes, etc. to help become happy. So in the end, you essentially do need money in today's modern society. And wanting to make money isn't a bad thing. It just shouldn't take over your life, which is what I'm trying not to do. And it can be a very entertaining thing, as there are various cool and fun ways to make money online nowadays. Happy mylotting!
