I did say this before, that with Obama as president and him being half black, that the only one that could defeat hm is a black man as long as blacks only vote for blacks and those whites who have white guilt vote for blacks. He does not have any political experience in that he has never won a position, so that might run against him.
It is still till early, but I hope that the next president is voted for his ability and not because he is of a certain colour. I also read that Chris Christie is also reconsidering running. It will take someone strong to defeat Obama and America needs all the help it can get.

Well Suspenseful We already have a government full of people with political experience and see what that has gotten us. Bigger government and growing a huge debt and growing. Yes it is too early but he is learning about what he doesn't know. He was also on the chairman the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

Well I did hear that many of the black did not vote and only came out to vote whenObama became candidate. AT least the ones who voted before who had always voted were honest and above board in that they admitted that they are democrats and even if the republicans won a majority as they did in the Bush and REagan era, that they would be at the voting polls. But the ones who only came out because Obama said so, that is what I am talking about.
I do not know who Cain will vote for. I think he is one of the honest ones who does not let race deterione who he will vote for.
I would rather have someone in the presidency who has experience in the public arena but has standards that will not pull America down. And someone who is more on the right side of the central rather then one who will compromise on the wrong things.
And he has to strong enough to defeat Obama. And it should not be that from now on only blacks can win because Obama was now black. The presidency should not be chosen according to race.

@suspenseful: If Blacks only vote for Blacks, who do you think they voted for before President Obama? Also, who do you think Mr. Cain voted for? Just curious.

Go Herman Cain!
Mitt Romney's main asset is his business sense (which is impressive), but he has created too much baggage for himself. The incompetent press has chosen Romney and Perry as the front runners, so everything they "report" will be based on pushing them along.
Herman Cain hasn't had an easy time of it, but it seems his message is starting to get out. I don't give a crap who the incompetent press chooses, I'm sick of the RNC allowing the press to choose their nominees.
I don't know who I'm voting for in the primaries yet, but I'd have no problem voting for him!

Maybe this will be the thing that puts him in the top tier of candidates. We need new blood in Washington. We have elected some new blood in congress. In the next election we need to elect more new people and a new a d dynamic leader. Maybe Herman Cain is that man.

I agree with you we do need new blood. I get tired of the media pushing only Perry and Romney or Bachmann. I want to hear more about the other candidates. So far the debates seem to focus on Perry and Romney. I hope to see more about Cain

I am psyched that Herman Cain won the poll, another indication taht the people are not ready yet to name only two candidates (Perry and Romney) as their only choices.
As far as business goes, remember the last two Presidentw who presented their credentials as businessmen (one even had a MBA!). That would be Herbert Hoover who over saw the strart of the Great Depression and George W Bush who oversaw the start of the Great Recession.
Maybe we're due for a businessman who 'works'.

Herman Cain is the CEO of God father's pizza and turned around Pillsbury and Burger king. He challenged Clinton on his health care bill 17 years ago.
Here is an article from Jan. http://www.slate.com/id/2281516/ and you can see where he stands on the issues at http://www.ontheissues.org/herman_cain.htm. Most media ignore most of the candidates except Perry and Romney or Michelle Bachman Cain has come from the polls in the single digit no. Check him out on youtube and other websites. I think he has a good plan. He will redo the EPA which is killing jobs with their sill regulations. I just hope it's not too late to get Obama out of office

I honestly can't say I want Rick Perry to be President, I didn't vote for him this time around, he's really got a bad case of cronyism... He honestly hasn't done nearly as much good for Texas as you'd think, considering how Texas is doing, its more INSPITE of Perry rather than BECAUSE of Perry...

Guess I am very political minded. I think being in the military causes you to pay attention.
I have watched every debate, and I listen to everything about all the candidates.
I kept saying to my husband that it sounded like we had already done the first round of voting and all the talk shows were mainly focused on Romney and Perry.
I don't like the stand on that and feel all should be allowed to voice their interests when during a debate.
Thursday night in Orlando Herman can was given a chance to show the people who he really was.
He is not talking HOPE AND CHANGE as we know someone else did and got elected.
Herman is a very genuine person, a strong business leader, and also not afraid to tell where he came from.
I get the daily newsletter on Herman Cain and pay attention to his past present and his future ideas.
Honestly I sincerely would like to see him debate our now President. I am afraid Mr Cain would talk some genuine sense and the President would not understand what this truthful man was talking about.
Heck I don't even know what the Prez is talking about half the time.
but after his sneer and laughter on his shovel ready wasn't so shovel ready in talking about basic jobs, that turned my stomach on him.
Knowing how many vacations he has had in 2 years, and will run away when he tells Congress to make decisions that he is going to Veto anyway,
While we voted this year to bring in new blood, a lot of old blood is still there and so set in their ways, while it looks like our new people are not doing what they wanted to do as they said when they ran, give them a chance. Its awfully hard to try to get something done when the top dogs state no matter what you say I will veto.
congress is not just fighting each other to fight, When the commander in chief walks off to play golf, and can't sit down to assist with these major decisions that affect us all, thats honestly why the split is so rough between the democrats and republicans.
But yea I would love to see Cain and Obama in a debate. I think Cain could deffinately take him down in one and do so with grace and respect to the President.
Perry has to quit talking Texas if he wants to get somewhere in my book. K heard enough now what are you going to do for the other 49 states?
And Romney and Perry they just bicker which makes my interest on genuine and honesty to look that much more at Herman Cain.
I wish this man the best of luck running for President!

I was thrilled to hear about this. I have thought for a while now that Cain might just be our best bet as a GOP candidate. Hopefully this trend will continue and the media will give him a fair chance in the primary. Then maybe he will stand a chance of actually getting the nomination and giving our nation a good GOP contender for the 2012 elections.

I was delighted when I read that!! Mr. Cain is a very savvy businessman and I've thought for a long time that we need someone that could run this country more like a business that should break even or make a profit. He knows something about the health care system from the point of view of a patient, having survived cancer. His parents worked, his dad 3 jobs to afford their own house. And on and on, he knows what it is to be an ordinary hard working person going through the school of hard knocks.
I think he is more qualified personally and experience-wise than any other candidate. I would be proud to have him as my president!

I was thrilled that Cain won the Florida straw poll. Our tea party group watches the debates together, usually at a pizza parlor, and we take our own poll after each debate and we talk about the candidates, though, of course, we don't endorse any of them officially. In the past, Perry, Romney, and Bachmann seemed to get most of the votes, but this time Cain overwhelmingly got most of our votes. I think we liked his conviction, his specific plans, and his focus on beating Obama rather than trying to make other candidates look bad. I'd love to see him run against Obama. I think he can think on his feet much better and the debate would be a joy to watch. And how would Obama be able to play the race card? Since that seems to be his biggest thing to throw around when all else fails, he and his liberal cronies would not have much left if his opponent was also black. I acutally think Herman Cain would attract more of the black vote than Obama, since his values are more consistent with the values of most blacks I personally know. He's also a great role model. I hope the press and the GOP old timers will now take him seriously.
