Firefox 7 Is Upon Us And That Wonderful AdBlock Extension Doesn't Work Now!

DOH!
I love Firefox as a rule but just lately it's getting on my nerves. The reason for this is the speed at which the upgrades are taking place. It wasn't so long ago I fell in love with Firefox 5 but ever since then I feel that Firefox is - well, rushing to upgrade all the time and I really wish they wouldn't as things like Adblock are essential for stress-free browsing, in my opinion, and the fact it doesn't work now just isn't good enough!
I do have other browsers I can use but I'd much rather Firefox got their act together.
Oh well, I guess I shall have to wait until Firefox 8 comes along..probably next week!
Haha!

I am on 6, and I lost some add ons when I moved up. I had 3.6 for the longest time and loved it. I would say that it is too soon for 7. I may have to check out Chrome.

GardenGerty, I loved 3.6 too. It was definitely my favourite version of Firefox so far. Why they couldn't just leave it at that I don't know lol.

Yes it does seem like an upgrade is available weekly. I do enjoy FireFox and it is the only one I too use, and with the AdBlock Extension not working it is getting on my nerves as well. But we shall not worry too much as they are probably churning the wheels as we speak and an upgrade will mosey along any day now.

Oh I do hope so. Why they didn't think of this for Firefox 7, I do not know but when the day comes that the Adblock Extension is fixed we can all go like this

can't we?

Amazingly, since this discussion was started my AdBlockPlus thingy has magically reappeared, along with the ClixSense toolbar that also wasn't there after the initial upgrade.
There must've been loads of complaints about it, maybe?
Anyway, it's fixed.
Hoorah!

I'm not a Luddite (really, I'm not!) but sometimes I wish "they" would leave well enough alone...
Just think if people went through frequent updates -- we'd have three hands and eyes in the back of our heads! Useful at times, but not necessary.

I actually agree with you. It seems everything has to be upgraded. I mean cats aren't upgraded are they? Perfect as they are!

I use Internet Explorer all the time. I am not good at this respect and not on top of all sorts of browsers either.Sometimes it is terribly slow when I surf on Internet.I always blame my computer which is out of date or Network speed. It seems that I must experience other browsers.

I suppose I'm making use of the fact that this computer is less than a year old, therefore I can experiment with different browsers whenever I see fit to do so. Some sites that don't work properly on Firefox will on other browsers, so that's why I like to switch between them. I couldn't even use Safari on my old computer so to have a total of 4 browsers is great for me. If you can experiment, I suggest you do so.

Thanks a lot! You suggestion warrant consideration, but I am afraid if I install too many browsers My old computer will be slower than it used to.
