Today is the oldest you've ever been, yet the youngest you'll ever be; so enjoy this day while it lasts!!! I received these words today. What does your heart tell you when you read these words???

There are a lot of phrases with a similar meaning. One time I saw one who is credited to Gandhi: "There are only two days when we can't do anything: yesterday and tomorrow. So let's do everything we can today, what is a blessing, and that is why it is called present". Everytime I saw it, I think in my life and if I am doing everything I want. It is a remind to us to don't let anything for tomorrow. We need to use the time with wisdom because it doesn't came back. Happy mylotting.

That I should live my life to the fullest, with a purpose and full of joy and positivity because we can never rewind every moment that has gone by. :)

That's how I read it too!!! I pretty much live my life that way daily & was just a little confused why she would be sending me that advice. We've been friends for a long time & she's always complaining because I celebrate life even when there is NOTHING to celebrate!!! I thought just maybe I had missed something!!!

I think it is trying to tell us to enjoy today because it will be gone tomorrow and you will never see it again.

I feel that if you don't live life to its fullest that you are wasting a good life!!! I also feel that everything happens for a reason...my friend knows I go for the gusto daily & I had wondered her thoughts as she sent it. Maybe I needed to hear something she was thinking & I'm glad that my sharing brought comfort to someone else who needed it!!!

Hey there, Marissa, I have to say, I think that is a great quotation. It is true. This moment is the oldest we've ever been and yet the youngest we'll ever be. It's painful and happy and just so true! :o) Who is the writer for credit?

It appears that these wise words were spoken by the ever allusive ~Anonymous In searching for the answer to your question, I found this quote as it made its round around the internet from Twitter to several blogs. However, I'm going to give this site credit for putting it out there so it could go around the world... http://www.littlebitsofhappy.com/bit-of-happy-128 I've bookmarked this site as it looks like a site I just might enjoy visiting first thing every morning just so I can start my day with a happy thought!!!

I feel that to be so true. Living life to the fullest is one thing we should be doing. With all the things we've missed because we didn't thought about it, we've wasted a lot of precious time. I didn't have that thought before, because I was taught to learn how to make sacrifices for the ones close to me. That was how the nuns raised me being in a catholic school during my primary school years. Lately though, I have learned from a preacher too that having fun doesn't make us a sinner or doesn't have to make us feel guilty. So right now, I still serve my purpose as a good mother, sister and a friend while I enjoy the goodness and joy that life brings. God didn't want us to suffer serving others. It is up to our strategy how we can deliver a purposeful and fruitful life and at the same time receiving all the benefits of living an enjoyable one.

That is so true!!! There is a gentleman in my little town who has lead more people to God than I can count. He is a bit of a rascal & he thoroughly enjoys life. I think it is his passion for life that draws people in & then his passion for God that makes them want to follow!!!

I read it as meaning stay alive, love life and enjoy each day to the fullest. It could be the last day of one's life and there is always time to celebrate. Also to tell all loved ones how much they are loved.

THANK YOU Carol!!! You looked past the obvious into the true meaning!!! I NEVER leave anyone I care about without telling them how much I love them!!! Three of my closest, dearests loved ones passed. The last words all 3 of them heard from me was "I love you". I may feel sadness for my loss; but I can honestly say that I have NO regrets!!!
