2 consecutive storms hit northern philippines. most areas are flooded, small children swim in flood water. only house roofs are seen when news flashed the scenes of flooded areas. Food and water are scarce. diseases caused by dirty flooded water are affecting mostly children and elders. non government and government charities provided free foods. comfort rooms are not available, people throw wastes in the flooded water. i feel sympathy to my co-Filipinos who experience these calamity, but even with these problems, they still handled to smile and laugh with it.;-). i know God is good. there's always a reason on everything that happens.

Me too i feel pity to the co-Filipinos, storms always left a devastating marks to the affected place. I heard a news that the government agency will build a catchment basement for flooding prone area. They will make huge tunnel under the road where the flood will flow so the houses would not be destroyed by the flood. I hope this will help somehow but i don't think this would be the best solution.

i doubt that project. 1st,that project would cost millions, 2nd,we have so many corrupt officials, 3rd,because the money for that project will be corrupted, the quality of the project would be less than 50%. 4th,the end result would be a DISASTER. i can't see any hope there.:)

This is really sad. I saw from news and watch those areas devastated by storms. Yes you are right, I admire our countrymen for being brave and courageous. Storms and calamity never stopped us from smiling and facing life as if nothing happens. It seems no storm nor no calamity can ever fall us down. have a good day

yes,but still our country men don't learn the lessons of the consequences of their actions, of throwing wastes especially plasctics or cutting down trees, that's why flood won't be absent every time our country is struct with typhoon. even though its been days that there is no more rain, still flood water is high. there is no more drainage present. the question is, when will the flood drain and be gone?
