i am fat & ugly

This is the usual thing I say when I look at myself in the mirror. It has been a problem of mine since I started working. Before in High School, I used to be active in school. I am a member of the dance team and I also joined choir. When I reached college, though I wasn't that active in dancing I still am active during Physical Education class. After I graduated college, I applied for a job and got hired, that started my problem. I gained weight and I wasn't able to control it. Since it was a contractual job, I stopped looking for a job again since I was too conscious with my body. Some friends where very nice to me and say good stuff about me and I started to gain confidence again but as I get older I became heavier and I felt so ugly. It has been my struggle to lose weight. I tried slimming tea, slimming tablets, I even tried going to the gym but it made me more bigger. I know determination is the key. If only I am fully determined yet sometimes people who are close to me like my family say things that hurt I get easily disappointed and depressed that I give up losing weight. Sometimes those people close to me are the very reason that I am not confident enough with myself. Sometimes I feel so hopeless. Aside from I am not financially stable, my weight gets the life out of me. I hope that before this year ends I will be able to push myself harder to exercise and have a balance diet. I need it more than anything. I wanna feel and look good for myself. So, will have that glow in me again.

i know a way of eating food to lose weight.meats and starches are never mixed together.you should eat either meats or starches at one time in your meal.it difficult to explain,as you have been in university i think you maybe know about the reason

i am sorry for my poor English expressing.if you decide to eat meat today,you should not eat breads of spaghetti today.if you have had breads at breakfast,you should be away from meat the whole day.it really can help you controll your weight.

It's okay recklessly and thank you for the suggestion. Now I understand what you mean. Happily, I'm starting to eat less and do some walking. Maybe eventually I will be able to do more and hopefully get a good result. Again, thank you.

hi babylove11!. don't be disappointed with the way you look or how much you weigh. it's not the things measured in life. be thankful that you have your life, count the blessings that God gave you, not the things people say about you or the things you hate about yourself. think about this, your one of the most blessed person in the whole wide world cause you can eat whatever you want, you don't get hungry while some people don't have anything to eat in a day, you still have your family while some people don't cause of some reasons, you have a place to live while some people live in the streets. just think about how blessed you are, and most of all praise God because you still have HIM beyond all odds.:)

Hello babylove, first of all welcome. I hope you will be able to enjoy your stay here. I know it is hard for you to accept some of the things that are happening in your life today, but you have to be strong and keep moving. Like what you said, determination is the key, but it will be of no use if you do not put some effort and discipline. It means you need to be determined and motivated with great effort and discipline in yourself if you really want to change your lifestyle now. Why not make a goal like for example, a 6-month period of extensive exercise and strict diet. Yes, it should be extensive since positive outcome will mainly depend on the extent of your exercise and diet. I think you have not followed yet the above-mentioned advice if I am not mistaken. Going to the gym is okay because you will be guided accordingly by your gym trainer, but going outside under the heat of the sun with exercise is far more better and the best way to lose significant amount of weight. The reason is because heat also helps burn fats and it increases your metabolism to burn calories accompanied by exercises and techniques you have learned from your trainer or by yourself. This should be made around 6 to 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. wherein the sun is not that very hot. One hour of exercise is already enough for the day, but you can increase the hours as tolerated by you. This should be continuous for a 6-month period. Try to set a day for your rest like setting a one day rest per week. Exercise should be accompanied with strict diet. Yes, you should watch out carefully all the foods that you eat since this is the main reason why people gained a lot of weight. Foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals, fibers, phytochemicals, etc. can be greatly found by eating vegetables, fruits, meat, and other source of foods. Those foods that are rich in cholesterols should be avoided. All foods that are greasy and oily should be avoided. It would be better if you would become a vegetarian with a small amount of meat that you eat per month, that would be great. Though we cannot totally exclude the meat since meats are also rich in protein which is also needed in our body to repair muscle tissue. There are a lot of things you need to take note like looking out the content fats of each food you eat. This can be stressful, but worth doing if you are really determined to lose weight. Like I said, determination/motivation plus effort and discipline will result in a positive outcome. This is already tried and tested by everybody. Actually, this is not only applicable in your situation, you can also use this in other situations like reaching a particular goal in life. Do not be intimated by the people around you whose only job is to try to put you down. They are like that because they see that you are not that confident. Be confident with yourself. Instead of losing hope, try to boost your hope. If there is life, there is hope, so do not ever think of losing hope. GOD will always be there for you. I hope I was able to help you even in a small little way. I know you are struggling with this situation of yours, but there is no one can help you if you give up that easily and continuously feel hopeless. Happy mylotting and GOD bless.

My teachers are the ones who gave me most of my confidence. My mother gave me some but my teachers are the ones who saw most of my spark. I am telling you this because I sense that is how you used to feel, confident. But somehow you have lost it. For me whenever I feel a little sad about myself, I always remember those times when my teachers praised me and that is what pulled me through whatever bad thoughts I had about myself. I think you should think about those good times again. When you feel good about yourself, its time to get determined and lose that weight. Only when you feel good about yourself you wont get depressed and start eating. I am overweight myself and I try to watch what I eat. I get overweight because I am lacking of excercise. I know if I get moving I WILL lose weight. If only I can excercise while staying online at the same time...I love the internet!

Hi there momof3kids! Yes, I used to feel confident and jolly. But since I gained weight. not only did I lose my confidence and being a jolly person but I also got sickly. I get sick every now and then. That's why I really wanted to lose weight. I don't want to get sick anymore. And I want to get that old confident and jolly person I used to be. Thank you for your words of encouragement. You too should start if you say your overweight. It will make us feel better and healthier too. God bless and more power.

Hi Don't be down on yourself I was in the same boat and have got through it . what you need to do is do something to boost your confidence. Find something that will push you a little - doesn't have to ne much - and do it Can be anything When you;ve done that - move on to something else I found what worked was writing that thing down , putting it someplace you can't miss it - try your toilet door - don't laugh it works !! That way you see it every day Mark each thing down when it's done and when you look back you cansee where you've cpme from and can think " hey I acheived something " Have a friend / family member around who accepts / encourages you As for weight loss have you tried a company called 4Life ? Most of us are dependent on others or things & are attached mentality, emotionally, & physically therefore not thinking of ourselves first since we haven't taken the time to do so by three fast, secure, & easy steps that of course require time, patience, efficiency, dedication, & investment in thy-self time/money .... The Exchange and three steps to do this is by first taking the moment to educate yourself, pay attention to yourself of what is good/or bad, & having a Plan that fits you personally.
