Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis Dies

Wow! This is the first I heard of this! In some ways I am surprised he last until 82! For along time Al Davis looked like he was in failing health! It will be interesting to see who takes over the Raiders now! Davis was to involved running the team! He would have the last say on who they drafted,who they traded,who would make the final roster and I even heard he would call in plays to the coach on the sidelines during a game! Davis was to much in control and it affected the Raiders in negative ways! Especially in the past decade! I hope the new owner is not so controling and the Raiders continue to grow and not go backwards!

That is so sad. I am very sorry to hear this.
