Most of us know that Agatha Christie is famous all over the world for her suspense thriller/murder mysteries. But she has also written a few books in the name of Mary Westmacott , what she calls Bitter Sweet novels , that understand human nature... I happened to read one recently called ' Absent in the spring ' and found it very compelling and interesting. Anyone else read one of those novels? please do share your views...

Hi ann, Yes I agree that her suspense thrillers/murder mysteries are very interesting, perfect whodunnits - I have a huge collection of her books. The other novels that I am talking about, too are equally gripping and are quite different to her suspense thrillers..

Going completely off topic here, just so you get a response. If you are interested in Agatha Christie you should try and see the movie "Agatha". It was made in 1979 and stars Dustin Hoffman and Vanessa Redgrave and gives a fictionalised account of what Agatha may have got up to for the 11 days which she disappeared for. It is definitely a fictionalised account but has a muder mystery feel that you would think Agatha had written herself. Oh and to answer the question, it's a no, I've not read of these Bitter Sweet novels.
