Do you have the feeling that you have seen the situation before?

I have had this feeling and many people experience it. It is called 'deja vu', meaning 'already seen'. It is a feeling of familiarity of something that is not familiar to you at all. Suppose you are on a canal cruise in amsterdam and see the canal houses. Suddenly you get the feeling that you have done this before and seen it before. This feeling last only a split second. But it is impossible because this is your first trip to Amsterdam. Deja vu occurs because of a processing error in the brains. You see something that you associate with something you have seen, smelled or heard before. But your brains make a mistake, you have never before seen, smelled or heard this.

Yes, sreekutty, I do. Strange as it may seem, but it has happened a number of times. Deja vu, that's what it is. It's not imagination, it's real. People and places, we've never met or never been to in the past, seem familiar. Talking to someone and having the feeling that you know what he or say is going to say, sometimes makes my hair stand on end. In a huge crowd of people, sometimes there is one who stands out and you wish to be friends with, then it turns out that he becomes a close friend. Going to someone's home and instantly feeling at home there, unlike the way you feel in other places where you feel shy or unwelcome even if the host welcomes you. This is really hard to explain. But, we all have psychic abilities which we are not aware of and which we haven't had a reason or a desire to develop. I think that I should make an effort to develop this ability, like thought transmission or mental telepathy.

I sometimes have that feeling and, in fact, I was thinking this when I was in a lecture at University yesterday morning. I was listening to the information that was being said, and I just got the feeling that I had heard it all before and I was actually able to say what they were going to say before them. I couldn't believe it myself because I don't believe that I am psychic, but it was almost as though I was living a couple of seconds in front of everybody else who was in the room. It was a strange experience indeed.

And sometimes i feel like the event has happened before and i even feel like i know what will happen after that and sometimes i get confused . For example, i may be in a place then i will feel like i have met some one before at that point and interestingly that same person will just appear. It makes me wonder sometimes if it is just a feeling or something more than that.

Dejavu :D It happens to me a lot and I think that it was from my dreams and suddenly it happens into reality :D

As told here by others , this is called dejavu. It is believed that our soul sometimes goes to the future and comes back so we sort of recall the event like it happened. I wish there was a scientific explanation to the dejavu.Maybe it has something to do with seeing the future ? I had this feeling many times and even in my dreams , not just events. Our brain has many special powers we are not aware of , and we use only a small part of it.

Yes , I had this feeling many times and I know what is going to happend next, Its very extrange, but, some people think in reincarnation, this means that somebody else lived in your spirit before and it comes to You as a memory. The thing is that I was raised in a christian family and Chrstians dont believe in reincarnation. Is like if I believe in this I believe in reincarnation , so, I better stay away from it, and , think that is just coincidence.
