He is a good player. He is good either at the left back or centre back. I cannot see him having problem in any of this position unless he was asked to be a striker, then I see there is a problem. He should look a role model player like Paolo Maldini. This is the guy who never complain. He won everything at club level and play until he was 40. chivu should stop whinning and strat playing. For the salary of more than 60K per week, he should be performing every week.

Chivu played as a left back in his local team also, I remember seeing him when he was 17 or so and he was a left back also. Then he became central defender and made stronger games there, but if you choose to play in another team, you have to adapt. And how can you want him back, after what he did? He pointed his middle fingers to the Roma fans and things like this shouldn't be forgotten.

And you still want him back, after what he did? It was something which he wanted to do, not a mistake. If a former Bayern player would have done this, I would never want him back.

I think Chivu is far from the player he was when he left AS Roma. Since that time, his performance kept worsening, not to mention he was injured so often... I think he is just looking for excuses. Instead of working harder to improve his performance, he's blaming the position he's playing on. If you ask me, I think you shouldn't hope for his return to AS Roma, because he won't be useful for your team.

of course i don`t hope his coming back again to my team.. we had burdisso, juan, heinze, kjaer and i think our team are more stronger without chivu .. he had a wrong mistake when he left our team and we never forgive him because left us when we still need him..

How often this happens in football? Players grow up playing in a position and they become famous playing in that role. Then a big club comes and takes them and then they are told to play in some other position and they do not enjoy this. I think a lot of players careers have been affected due to this. Cheers! Ram

actually the true position of chivu is left full back..in ajax, he can play as central defender or left full back.. but in AS ROMA, we create him as great central defender and never play chivu as left full back... in inter, inter make mistake when want to change the position of chivu..and of course it make chivu can`t enjoy his new position

Chivu is a great defender and if the manager doesn't use him wisely, he will end up as a trash player, and it's a waste of his skills, talents. I don't understand why managers would cough up millions of dollars to buy players only to let them play out of positions? Is that what they are being paid for? Not every players have the calibre to play out of positions, especially defenders.
