Does anyone have one near them? They are opening one 30 min or so from here. I've been told it's kinda like a Sam's club but w/o the membership fee and you guy the things you use alot of there. Anyone been to one? What items do you like? Is it as expensive as a Sam's? or am I better off sticking to Aldi?

We have one here and I think it's a great place to go when you need to buy in bulk. With your family you might find it pays but driving 30 minutes? Mine is 4 minutes away. They specialize in convenience foods, prepared foods and other processed stuff but also have plenty of dry goods like pasta and canned vegetables, fruits. Big sizes, of course, of junk foods and bakery items. Food and food related items only, no clothing or electronics. You might want to check it out if you're headed that direction anyway. I'm sure you could save some money. They do have "fresh" meats and vegetables, too, but mostly prepackaged stuff and the prices are usually a savings over grocery stores.

There was a GFS where I lived about 7 years ago. I went in there a few times. It really is just like a smaller version of Sam's Club without the electronics and health and beauty stuff.

GFS is here in Canada, bunnybon, but so far..it is a wholesaler for restaurants, etc., ONLY! They do all their own packaging, labelling, but I am guessing, that they will be bulk foods, and I mean real bulk! Just an example, things like "Ranch Dressing" will be in a "gallon" tetra-brick..or Napkins in 5000's. Would be interested in finding out what they turn out to be? Cheers!
