This Abbott and Costello horror-comedy flick features the bumbling buddies as railroad baggage clerks who receive a strange shipment -- the last remains of Dracula and Frankenstein's monster. Trouble is they're still alive! When the deadly duo escape to a remote island, Abbott and Costello follow their trail and find not only the two ghouls, but also a mad scientist who wants to switch Costello's brain with that of Frankenstein's monster. -Netflix Lol I love how corny this movie was. I actually found it rather entertaining. I liked that they had all the main Horror characters in this one, Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the wolfman and the invisible man. I didn't find it very scary but that is mostly because I find Abbott & Costello to be rather funny. But even thought is is classified a Classic Horror I found it to be a good one to watch this month.

They also did one with an invisible man. In that case the guy was a boxer. Costello would pretend to be a boxer but the invisible man would get into the ring and do the real fighting. It might be hard to believe, but Costello was at one time a boxer.

They used to do radio shows before doing movies. I don't know if you ever heard of the "who's on first" skit? If now its worth looking up, its rather funny. As for movies they have been in they have been in a long list here is a link to check out all of there works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbott_and_Costello There an older comedy team so some of there jokes can be corny but I think many of them are funny.

I just remembered I was watching an Abbott and Costello movie on TV when I was young back in 1965. The movie was "Lost in Alaska". What made that moment memorable was that while I was watching the movie, the reception gradually flickered and then went out leaving just white noise. I flicked through the channels and eventually found that all the New York TV stations were out. Remember, this was 1965 and the cold war was on with the Soviet Union so my first thought was that New York had been nuked. As it turned out, there was a power failure caused by a an incorrect relay set at Niagara Falls. The power went out in New York State, Ontario, and much of New England. It was the Great Black Out of 1965. Living in central New Jersey, our power stayed on and we found out what happened when the Philadelphia TV stations were allowed to temporarily boost their signals. It was scary there for a while though.

Wow I couldn't imagine living through something like that. Growing up these days you just don't worry about the things that our parents and grandparents had to deal with. It makes me feel lucky I have what I have. Thanks for sharing your story, its very interesting and I will have to check out "Lost in Alaska" and when I watch it I will think of your story. :)

I believe Abbott and Costello came out of Vaudeville. In those days it was common to have comedy teams with one person as the straight man and the other as the comic or clown. There were others like Laurel and Hardy, George Burns and Gracie Allen, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, (even Bod Hope and Bing Crosby in the movies) and lastly the Smothers Brothers and Cheech and Chong. I have to wonder if stand up comedy has killed off comedy teams.

I recognize some of the names but I am not sure if I have seen any of there work. But you have a point about the stand up comedy taking over comedy teams, you just don't see them much anymore.
