We, in Texas, have received frightening news today from The Department of Public Safety. Several Mexican Drug Cartels are actively recruiting Texas High School Students to engage in criminal and violent behavior including human trafficking. The Drug Cartels are in our Texas High Schools corrupting our teenagers. Parents are being warned and cautioned. DPS is requesting that parents speak to their teens about The Drug Cartels. Most Americans in other states have no idea how serious the problems are with The Drug Cartels. Some time back, I began another discussion expressing my concern about The Mexican Drug Cartels. I got razzed a little bit by persons outside of The United States who saw me as being paranoid. I understand because unless you live in Texas, Arizona or Southern California, you have no idea how dangerous The Mexican Drug Cartels are and that they are operating in our American Cities. They are taking over some of our cities and now our schools. Sooner or later, it is going to have to be dealt with.

Neither of you is paranoid. I am. I used to love going to San Diego. I'd love a vacation there. But it's so close to the border I don't want to go now. We are sending our troops a lot of places they don't belong and yet we will not defend our borders against violent criminals. I heard today, but did not have time to verify yet, that the US government is sending a few troops to Uganda to "eliminate from the battlefield" Christians demonstrating or fighting for democracy and freedom to be able to practice their religion. I"ve been gone all day and I've not had time to check this out yet. If it's true, it's another case of getting our foreign policy wrong. We are supposed to be for religious tolerance. Something has got to be doen about the cartels. Is the federal government tying Perry's hands in this as it is trying Arizona's governor's hands? Sometimes I think the Attorney General is heading the department of injustice. It seems they care about the rights of everyone but law-abiding American citizens.

Are you aware that most Americans have no idea about the seriousness of the problem or maybe they just do not care? The cartels are viscous and they stop at nothing. Mexico can not stop them yet alone control them. I fear that we are going to have to go in and take care of them. This is a national security problem. And we have already let it go too far. I think the problem is so serious that it is long beyond Perry or The State of Texas. It is going to require federal intervention. It is not what I want to see. It is what I believe will have to happen. I agree with you that something has got to be done about the cartels.

Many people do not appreciate the seriousness of a problem until it is in their own back yard. I do not think you are paranoid. I lived in San Diego over thirty five years ago, and I am sure things have not gotten any better. Complacency or apathy will kill us.

I know that you understand the seriousness of the situation. You answered my earlier discussion. But you lived in San Diego many years back. I am doing my part in trying to help wake up America. We are going to lose our country if we are not careful.

Not only is there a problem, but since our Government handed out thousands of free assault weapons, they are now armed even better than before. Of course, our Government will keep doing everything they can to tie the hands of the law in Texas and the other border states. The poor mexicans really need to come to this country, get on our welfare, and pervert the minds of our children.
