we have all heard the expression love is blind, meaning that when you love somebody you never see their mistakes, can you agree with that, why or why not

I suppose if you love someone Love could be blind. Personally with the luck I've had I thing Marriage is like a deck of cards, in the beginning all you need is two hearts and a diamond, by the end you wish you had a club and a spade.

I just read a quote from a rabbi who says love is not blind but when we are in love we don't care about the mistakes and the flaws we just accept them.

I think this expression is true. Many people love unconditionally and see only the good in their loved one. Not what other people may see at all. It is as if they have rose colored glasses on and can only see their loved one in the most positive way. It is nice but not always realistic.

It is sort of sad and pathetic in one way and rather sweet in another.

It is true, that we dont find any mistakes with our loved ones. It is all because of affection and love towards them.Vice versa, if we dont like a person, we find even small things as a big mistake. In this aspect yes Love is Blind !!!

For some love can be blind. They Only see the good. But for me True love happens when you see the other person faults and you Still love them.Their flaws are a part of them. they are part of what makes them whom you fall for! See, when I say my guy is perfect for me , I mean I can handle being with him. flaws and all.

I strongly agree with you about that statement, that because some or most of people when they love others, they get their heard judge and forget their mind. when you meet some one specially, for marriage purpose, you should judge your mind as will as your heart.

I guess everyone who falls in love really doesn't mind the physical appearance, attitudes, money of the person they fell in love with. And that really explains why love is not blind. Not literally though. It speaks of a whole lot different idea. Love is not blind, it sees actually. It sees a imperfections it just doesn't mind. Right? and if your fed up with that person and once you fell out of love, you'll realize how fool you were to stay with that person. Once love fades, you'll realize that what you saw in your relationship is real and you should have treated it seriously..

Yep, I believe that. I wasn't in love with K, but I loved him. While I loved him, I didn't see his character flaws, even when they were pointed out to me. I made excuses for his bad behavior instead of calling him on them. Finally, when I did call him on his bad behavior, I became the bad person.

Yeah, I reckon it's quite true because one you become emotionally attached to this one person, you don't notice their imperfections or flaws. Because you are so in love with this person, you think they are the whole world to you and simply perfect for you so you don't think about their flaws. So pretty much, love is blind. Like how a girl may love this guy so much that when her friends tell her that the guy is using her or cheating on her, she won't believe them because she loves the guy too much. I have an uncle doesn't get along with his wife and once he leaves the house and disappears. His wife would be calling my Mum and everyone else about his whereabouts because she loves him. No matter what he does, she will always love him. So I guess the feeling of love is so strong that it may cloud your better judgement.
