I think that routines are one of the most important things in life, as they mean that you can fit everything into your day that you need to at the time. People who don't have routines tend to struggle with fitting everything in. One of the most important routines that I have is my exercise routine. I know that I wouldn't be as healthy as I am today without the routine that I have built up for myself. I go jogging every morning before I have my breakfast, and will also go for a short walk during my lunch hour to clear my head after the hard morning that I'd just had working.

I think you are right. I have never been one for exercise. My routine was to work, work, work and then keep house and work some more. I never really took time for me. I thought my job was me and my life. Now, I can't work and I feel totally displaced. No real purpose. I know that I am now the purpose. And if one is not crazy about themselves, it's not enough. I had heart surgery 2 years ago and I know I need to walk my treadmill and exercise. But, I am afraid. I also have asthma and panic attacks and so every little pain scares me. I am getting closer to caring enough to hit the treadmill. I don't see myself as a runner since my knees are bad but I have walked enough to get the soreness and weakness out of my hips and knees. It's a process.

Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Eat healthy food on a regular schedule Get at least a moderate amount of exercise each day. Take a little time to just think or not to think in other words meditate. Do something every day to keep the mind healthy such as reading, etc. Try to have an active social life by interacting with friends and family.

It's hard to suggest a lifestyle plan for another. If you are in distress have you sought the advice of a Dr? Myself, I have had to revamp my routine many times. Now that I am no longer working it's harder to find reasons to get up and not give in to being lazy. So, I get up and hit the shower and then meds and then on to the tasks of the day. I am in the process of deciding if I should incorporate the treadmill before shower. I have to be careful because I am diabetic and so exercise, meals etc all have to work just right. But to answer or attempt to answer your question is hard because each persons biological clock is different. What have you tried so far that has not worked. Go from that direction and your answers will come easier I think. Put it on paper even.
