Oh my goodness. I want it so bad! So, it obviously doesn't come out until November 15th, but rumors have it that it might just be an ipad killer. So, if you guys don't know about it, it's basically a kindle but with more features! A kindle is an e-book reader and I've wanted an e-book reader for awhile, but this is liek.... It has web, music, movies, apps, etc. It runs off of the Android platform (which is common in cell phones) And I so want it for Christmas! Honestly, I wish I had it in my hands now! It's $300 LESS than the iPoad and pretty much does the same thing. I've watched a demo of it from a technology expo. It's only $199! Go check it out at http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Fire-Amazon-Tablet/dp/B0051VVOB2/ref=amb_link_357730082_7?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=1ZX0BWRD1WNFVAZ0WCGD&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1323002042&pf_rd_i=507846 (not a referral link) What do you think of it?

I have the original iPad, and it works well for me. So, I'm not sure if this Kindle Fire would be an iPad k!ller. But pricepoint wise, it is definitely more attractive. The only thing I am hesitant about is the android platform apps that is says it runs. They're good for phones, but I still have to see in tablet form.

Android is on a lot of tablets out there. Like the Samsung Galaxy, which is a close competitor to the iPad. But, the Kindle is supposed to run an altered version of Android, so I hope it's for the best and not the worst.

I must to say that the Kindle Fire's price is quite attractive. Although iPad is much more popular now, but it is also expensive. And its accessories are also expensive. Now since Kindle Fire offers more App, I think it will be a good competition. App is important for the development for the Kindle Fire. I love China

Agreed. I've heard there's not too many applications available for it though. And I'm really hoping they get that fixed!

My goodness! I just read where a gal paid $899.00 for a Ipad 2. And this is only $199.00! Wow! I think it was silly to buy the Ipad 2 so soon after it came out. If people would wait awhile it would go down considerably. I remember when the first Kindle came out. It was like $300 and it has come down to $129. Crazy!

Exactly! Things always cost more when they're first released. It's like 'Hey, let's push the price higher just because it's new! Yay!

And if you wait awhile usually the glitches are worked out of the product also.
