raw or enhanced?

Photography is really one of the great hobby, I bet all of you will agree. Now I got a question for you to ponder on, which is the best type of photo the "raw" or the "edited/post processed?" I had this discussion with fellow photographers and I still want to know more opinions from other people. Hope you can share your voice. Thanks.

hi there dip! well for me.. i go always for the raw type. i think you know that when you use a professional camera their is a higher resolution that could make your picture more beautiful. i love the pictures taken with professional camera since you don't really have to edit the pictures. but i don't say that i won't go to enhanced photos but i say it's always beautiful if it's taken the natural way.

Thanks for that. At this point I am thinking if I will about to consider that taking or having raw pictures identifies you to be a real photographer because you do not need enhancement, I mean you know exactly how to play with colors, contrast, brightness, etc. What do you think?

yes, you are right. a real photographer would not rely on enhancements. i envy pictures taken with professional cameras it's really amazing how they would mix all the colors. with that gadget you can actually have a brighter color for the picture taken. you would just do some adjustments and tsa-da! you will have a great picture that would not need enhancements. and oh may i add faces taken with professional camera would lighten!! it's great! dark spots are removed automatically and so with pimples. i have seen those results and it's really great! God bless on your career!

I would have to say probably edited. You can do a lot of neat things with editing photos. I'm not a photographer by any means though. I am hoping to learn to take great photos soon. I joined a photo club to learn more and I'm looking into a slr camera. I do think thought that it's possible to get really great photos raw too.

I myself am not a photographer but I am a model and I believe pictures can go either way, some look amazing as is because of the natural light but others may look better touched up.

When I start with my DSLR camera I use raw format. But then I realize that I don`t use that format, I convert all into jpg format. So I change my settings and now I photograph in jpg format, with highest quality. I can always modify my photos on photoshop if I want to. I am only an amateur photographer so I don`t need to take photo in raw.
