I'm just not sure if I can keep on going here in mylot. When you were just starting here in mylot have you ever felt that you want to quit too? I'm pretty active here for the past few days and actually enjoy posting and discussing here in mylot but I just felt bad whenever I see my earnings is not doing good and not improving that much I'm not expecting that much I just want too see some improvements. What made you decide not to quit. What keeps you going?

I've also been inactive in mylot before since I was busy. I never quit though. If you are just after the earnings then you really might be tired of waiting on when to reach payout. Once you quit you will try other sites that promises to be profitable and with huge earnings. Unfortunately most of those sites are scam sites. Once you encounter being scam like not getting paid then you might go back and decide to be active in mylot. Mylot is a legit site and been here for several years now. It is safe to participate here since no matter how long before you reach payout one thing is for sure ... you are going to be paid.

thanks pal. Actually I don't have any doubt about mylot's legitimacy and also no doubt about getting paid here in mylot I know for a fact that mylot paid it's members because I've already read a lot of discussions about that, what worries me is the way i am earning or the time it took me to earn more. It's just to slow for me maybe I'm just doing it the wrong way so I need to learn more from the veterans here.

If you're expecting to get rich from online activities here, then I don't think this is the site for you. But if you come here to learn a bit, meet new friends, and ask for help once in a while, then myLot is juts the place. This is my motivation to stay here. The earnings is just a bonus. Hopefully, you change your mind.

Hi bounce. Yeah I realized that my way of thinking about mylot is quite unreasonable since i've only stayed just for a few days and haven't really tried to look for ways to improve my earnings that's why I've changed my mind and I'm staing her. Thanks for your helpful advice

One thing nice about this place is you are the boss and so you decide to stay or go. But you seem to be new here and have yet to get the hang of things. If you want my advice stay on and feel it. The fact that there are so many here with thousands of posts says ample about the goodness of this site.

Even those whose first language is English do make mistakes but it is a rule here not to point out the mistakes. This is just for your information.

Being new myself it's great to see the help the vets. give, I have already understood that it's by helping others that makes it work. Criticising is not the way, there are plenty of people who's first language is not English and although their postings might not be quite perfect it's good enough and quite amazing.

Thanks for your advice. I agree with you the fact that there are lots of guys who stay here and enjoy mylot is one of the reason/factor that would make me think to stay here. It somehow make me believe that if others were able to manage to stay here for long and enjoy it then I believe I can do that to.

Please keep ticking the plus sign and give good responses like you have in replying to the replies to your conversation and hope that others will tick your plus sign as well. Keep going friend and don't be in too much of a rush, take it steady and come here when you want something to do, you can help others too.

I appreciate your advice but can you further explain the relevance of having a star? Do you mean having a star increases your earning? in what way? like you have different earning rate because of the star?

Thank you dear. Now I'm enlightened about that 'star' then it is not me who has the control of getting a star but other mylotters who will be find my respond helpful and relevant to the topic. I'm learning a lot from you guys you are really so helpful!

I would be sorry if you decide to leave as it's the variation of people the make it good. It probably costs as much, in electricity to post here as you earn but I would have been spending that money in other way so it really does not matter. I am here for the contact and the money is just an added bonus. From what I see from your contributions you wont have had a payday yet and mylot is not a fast earner.
@phillyguy (3005)

Yeah I'm thinking if all the time and effort I will spend here will be worth it if not earning enough. So you check my contributions? thanks for youor effort to check on my posts and other contibutions .You think I'm still far from doing what I suppose to do to earn more?
@telmesh (1793)
22 Oct 11
I can't check your earnings but the number next to your name shows the level of contributions you have made, therefor I can tell that you are less than half way to your first payday. As I understand it ( because I am fairly new here too) you will be able to earn more when up to 200, then you will be allowed to post photos.

Early in my membership I was going to leave myLot and not return. But it was not because of earnings but more so due to offline issues. I can tell you that I have grown to enjoy my time here that I cannot imagine leaving and not ever returning as I have developed some really great friendships. I wanted to include so you are aware that starting discussions alone and not commenting back to most and or all your responders is causing you to miss out on more earnings. Keep in mind that receiving responses does not earn you at all. Unless you come back and comment back with quality comments you will not earn more for your started discussions. No one will make loads of money with myLot but the money earned can increase with your own participation. Good luck and hope you decide to stay as myLot is really a wonderful place to be.

Thanks for a detailed advice hardworkinggurl I really appreciate it. knowing that you also think about quitting early in your membership here in mylot and now seeing your post count already reach 5 digits proved to me that you didn't regret deciding not to quit instead you really enjoy it that's why you've been here maybe for a couple of years already. Maybe Ill just change my perception regarding my lot I will not see it entirely as an earning site instead i'll just enjoy discussing things and meeting new friends here.

Sorry to see you leave. I usually have to post around 100 comments or so in order to make anywhere near a dollar. I don't do it for the money though. If I did it for the money, I would be long gone by now...The money is just a plus! I love giving advice, interacting with others, etc. So this is just the place to do it! You just have the perk of making a few extra bucks! Maybe you just need a break for a little while. I'm sure you will come back soon!

phillyguy...earning money is just one benefit of being with myLot. Before I came here I used to post on different discussion boards just because I wanted to hear other point of views. When I discovered myLot I was more encouraged because of the number of people and the huge variety of subjects possible. The money made is nice even if small in amount, because most places do not pay anything at all. LOL something is better than nothing..I hope you stay..

No No No you must not quit! You've been here for only few days and you want to say farewell already!? Don't worry, I was in the same boat as you, when I first started my earnings were pathetic and I thought when will I ever get up to the members who have like 1000 posts. I thought I would never get there and I felt a little down that my earnings were so low. But really, the more you spend time with mylot, it will be a rewarding experience. I actually have no goals but after being here for quite a while now, I just inserted mylot into my daily routine. It's something that has to be done everyday for me! Once you participate more and quite loads more you will see the sudden shift in your earnings. When I started like you, I earned around 10 cents each day. Now I'm more motivated to write more and people rate you as you go! So stay!

It really surprise me that a lot of guys here try to encourage me not to quit and I really appreciate that. You know what I felt the same way too one of the things that discourage me is I am thinking it would take me so long to reach 4 digits post count. I hope your right that if I stay more here and make quality posts people would start to rate me that would really keep me going. thanks for the advice:)

Perhaps you are only using one tool to earn money from mylot. Check out the task section. Check out the search engine. Check out the photos section. You see, participating in discussions is not the only way to earn here.

Yes your right about that I admit I'm just focusing more in participating in discussion. Maybe I need to explore other ways to earn in mylot f I want my earnings to accumulate faster before i check out the task section but most of the task i see requires downloading something that quite turn me off doing task so Im checking the task section that often.

Hi piloncitos. I have really felt that before.I thought of leaving mylot,but there is something that keeps me stay here.That is having fun!I cannot explain the feeling when many people respond to discussions I started.I love it when I respond to other user's discussions.I can also see improvement in my grammar in everyday I spend here.I make one dollar every three days here.I know it is not big enough,but if you don't think a lot about the earnings you will earn more and will enjoy your stay here.

Hi ferb! In my short stay here i can say i'm having fun too maybe i'm just disappointed too see i'm not earning enough because when I join my initial reason is to earn money. I think I need to change that i'll just enjoy what i am doing here and just consider the money that i can earn as just a bonus while having fun.

NO! Don't quit. Earning money online won't be that easy. We share and discuss each other. Just pretend that this is Yahoo Answer, or a place where you usually discuss something with your friends. I am also new here. But, I will comment as good as I can. So, I can earn more. Ask your friend to join MyLot so your earning will get more... :)

Same feeling when I first join here in mylot, I almost give up on participation and discussion. But after doing some task that augment my earnings here it helps me get excited and keep on responding here until I reach my star. After having a star of commenting here I notice that my earning has been raised and so it keeps me going on here. I bet you are a newbie here, its hard at first but after sometimes everything comes easy.

I notice lot of guys here mentioning the "star". Can you help me here? If it's not against mylot's rule would you mind explaining how am i able to get a star?

errr... that is quite not done. You have to have patience. MyLot is not a money making machine. Instead it is a great place for discussions. I see that you have only a few friends. You have participated in just 64 discussions (including yours) and it is too early to decide. Anyways, you are the best to decide for yourself. So good luck.

If you didnt respond how could I accept your FR? Dear, I am quite lazy and slow here and everywhere. Have my own presumptions and I think we need to know each other much more before making friends. Hope you understand. Surely, your FR is pending and I hope to catch you on other discussions - from others and you too so that I know our mindsets match before I accept that. And btw, I have requests pending since months but those lotters are now not seen around. So please dont mind.

It never happen to me such though. I would not decide to quit from mylot. I will stay here and be active forever, because I earned when I involved in participation on mylot. Although, we only earn 0.01 cents per posting but that's so meaningful to me. I made posting and replying in which we didn't know would help out other people there with our writing. I encountered there were some writings which inspired me so much. I'm here not only for the money reason but also for venturing new experience.

There are no fix rates for one post like 0.01 cent/post or so.. It may be lower, and it may be higher - all depends on quality and umm.. a bit of luck(because it is also about how another members respond to it :P)..

Hello Phillyguy, You need a break you will feel better when you will return after break.There were instances when i also thought of leaving MYLOT in the starting as i joined MYLOT to earn more extra money but was depressed to see the way my earnings were growing here.I was also determined to leave MYLOT but the turning point was when i made friends here and interacted with them i felt NO! money is not always important i can have money from somewhere else and FUN from MYLOT.I think its too early for you too to decide to leave MYLOT.I think you must see it for much more time and then should decide what to do? I did it because i am not dependent on online earnings only as i have good offline job which gives me earnings 1000 times better than i can earn through online stuffs.But your case may be different.

I'm glad knowing there's someone who have felt the same way before and were able to go on and stay with mylot. I don't think taking a break would work for me I'm afraid if I take a break I will totally lose my interest here. I have a good job too tha t gives me enough income but of course having another source of income like this would still help.

I felt like you three months ago. Until I realized that making money online is not something that will happen in one day, we have to take this not like our way to pay bills it is just to have extra money,so we can't take it as serious,is like go to Facebook and write in your friends pictures, comment their states,or participating in a discussion or topic,but with the difference that in Facebook won't get any money sometime in the future and in Mylot yes. So don't give up, stay responding and begin discussions and make some extra money.

Don't give up. Sometimes, I also feel like that but I enjoy writing and posting stuffs here. Maybe the reason why you're not earning much is because you don't respond to many comments. Just keep on writing if you still enjoy it here. Don't worry too much. In the long run, you'll just be amazed as to how much you've earned already.
