My friends need money to support their endeavors. I wish I had more to help them

Do you have friends who need money to start businesses or to support their endeavors? I have one friend who makes the most awesome cheesecakes. She needs start-up money that neither she nor I have. I have another friend who has a business, she doesn't have extra money to buy stuff ahead for her business and her credit cards are threatening to cancel because she pays them off in full. My friend who is campaigning needs money to continue running for media coverage and so on. All these people helped me when I had my bladder problem. I wish I could help them. But our co-pay on medical bills averaged a thousand dollars a month. It took many months. Diagnosis, chemo, operations, repeatedly going to the Drs. for post op and for check ups. So we spent money we had and money we didn't have.
Have you found it difficult to repay people who have helped you wtih what they need? I did come up with $10 to help one friend, but we need foor and other essentials.

I have a friend/relative I owe a lot to, and we just make ends meet, that is all so I am not getting them paid back. I feel badly. They gave up their vacation money to help me once. For some of them you can maybe research where to get grants, etc. or donate time. Time is worth a lot and at least right now you do not have to pay taxes on it.

Yes, I could probably help the campaign person with time. Esp. since he helped me get work last year for a few weeks. He needs people to put stamps on envelopes, etc . Thanks and take care.

Yes there are several in my situation as well, for which they can not help me and or I them financially. As much as I would like to I am not able to as I use to. Sadly this has cost me some friendships as I suppose since I cannot help them, they find it useless to continue the friendships.
Of course I understand that they were not real friends in the end but all I can offer are my prayers and hope that they can understand that currently I am not able to.
Although I realize how unfair some of them have been, I still pray for them as I understand that need is a difficult thing to live with.

I still have my friends. They knew from the start that I couldn't help them financially. I still pray that something will happen to help them.
Sorry your friends were not as understanding and aren't friends any more. Take care. Thanks for responding.

Hi writersedge, you should not worry for your friends, of course i understand your concern but with your situation, i am also sure that your friends do not expect you to help them. There are ways they can do to have capital in business. They can get a loan from banks who offer loans for small enterprises. You can help your friends by praying for solution to their problems.

Banks are less willing to help some businesses in our area than they were before. A loan doesn't guarantee that you'll be able to repay it. We've had businesses start here and close their doors in a month because they couldn't make the first payment back. It takes 3 years to see black up here, so you'd need a 3 year loan to start.
