Dreams about Jobs

Describe dreams you've had about your current or past jobs.
Usually, I have dreams about bringing work home with me when my job gets too stressful. This has happened at McDonald's, Inbound Call Centers that I've worked for, and one position as a data entry clerk and office assistant at a non-profit.
McDonald's was my first job, and even though my store didn't have a drive thru I dreamt that cars were coming to my bedroom window trying to order food that I obviously couldn't cook.
For call centers I was getting calls on my cell phone and didn't have my computer or software to help change service plans, place orders, or look up information.
I don't even remember the specifics of the dreams about the non-profit job, but I had multiple nightmares about it.
this last one wasn't a dream I remember, but it was while I was working at a call center. We were getting a lot of Holiday overtime, and I was exhausted. My boyfriend was awake, and saw me sit up and start pressing buttons on our alarm clock/radio. I started talking to it, saying "Hello? hello? Oh, no I think I dropped a call. It wasn't my fault, it just happened!" or something like that. My boyfriend tried to talk to me, but I just ignored him and went back to sleep.
Has anyone else had dreams like this? I have found when I do, I either have to change my mindset and separate myself from my job or find a different one.

I often have dreams about the work that I need to complete during the course of the next day or the coming week or months. This is normal because we often, as human beings, dream about things which we happen to be finding stressful at the time. As a result of this, we tend to find that we are spending more time than we would like thinking about the things that we do find very stressful indeed. I like to relax before bed, as I find that this helps me to reduce the amount of bad dreams that I experience during the course of the night.

Agreed. It is important to relax regularly and take our minds off of things we find stressful. That is part of what I meant by changing our mindset about jobs that stress us out and give us bad dreams.
When stress starts to invade our dreams, I think it is our subconscious trying to tell us that something is wrong. It may be that we are attaching too much importance to little things that go wrong and we need to remind ourselves that those things are not crucial.
In some other cases, we might have an ethical problem with the job that will not be resolved until we a.) change what we find ethical (not easy), b.) acknowledge that we find it unethical but realize that weighed against other parts of what we are doing, the benefits outweigh the detriments, or c.) find another job that fits in better with our values
It is great that you have found a way to reduce your stress and sleep soundly! thank you for responding! :)

I am dreaming with opened eyes. Almost every day I dream about my future job and about my future life.

This is a really positive statement, but it's not really what this discussion is about. Kudos to you for trying to visualize good things. Be careful, though. If we look to the future too often, we are not seeing what is around us. Also, if the future does not happen the way we want it to, it can lead to disappointment in life instead of the happiness that could have been had by living in the present.

When I was working in a home health care team I sometimes dreamed about my job. I loved the job as such and I enjoyed the interactions with the patients that I visited, but at the same time, it was a very stressful job because we all had too many patients and we had to rush from place to place. My dreams about work were usually about the busy days and the stressful parts of the job. I dreamed that I didn't have enough time to do my work and that the patients were angry at me and screaming at me. I especially remember a dream about one of the patients. In real life he was very impatient and critical person and in my dream he criticized me because I wasn't fast enough.
