Starting to worry

For kicks I decided to look up online about a condition I've had since I had a bad cold this past winter/spring. I was thinking it was my sinus' as I've had surgery and infections over the years. However, after that virus finally left on and off for periods I hock up two spittings worth of phglem most mornings. Outside of that coughing of junk up in the morning I feel perfectly fine. So of course for some reason months after this cold I decide to look it up and it could be anything from sinus problems, allergies, or an accute lung infection. I guess I should look into getting checked out or should I try some OTC sinus medication? I was just at the OBGYN for an annual exam and she checked my breathing and didn't say anything to me. I didn't mention it to her though alot of times they don't want to deal with any questions aside from female organs & hormones.

Wouldn't a lung infection have other symptoms as well such as difficulty breathing?

No idea. I was reading of course as we know with our nose that different color secretions mean different things, I just assumed it was my sinus' draining during the night and pooling.

I would have done more research on the lung infection to see what other symptoms go along with it. If you are concerned, it wouldn't hurt to call a doctor's office and talk to a nurse, explain the situation. She'll probably want to know the color because I do believe different colored mucus can indicate an infection, and if it's bloody that would definitely indicate a problem. The nurse could then tell you whether or not you should be seen for it. It is better to be safe than sorry, as they say.

I think you do not have to worry about that. Virus come and goes, sometimes it stays longer in your body but it will leave eventually. Do worry if you experience mild fever that would indicate infection. For u to be sure, it will be good to see a doctor. Don't take any medication without the doctor's advice please. I am in a medical profession but i still recommend that u seek a doctor first before anything else. Hope and pray that u will get well soon.

I've been watching it. I was thinking about calling to talk to my Dr's nurse but then she'll want me to come in and then just tell me it's my sinus' or something is a waste of time, gas, and co-pay. My knees had bothered me quite a bit in winter especially and all I was told is your too young for them to bother you & the usual loose some weight.

About your phlegm i could recommend the best natural antibiotic/boosts your immune system which is natural honey mixed with lemon. 2 spoonfuls of squeezed lemon + 1 spoonful of honey (you can measure lots and store it in one bottle)drink one spoonful once or twice a day. I do not know if u already know about this, but this is what I do to my family if they are having same problem as u have. Do this for a week and u will see a difference, no side effects not like medications, and its purely safe. For your knees observe first yourself, is your weight more than the normal body weight? Do u exercise? See also if fatty foods that u eat is causing this problem then see a doctor about it. Hope this helps. I'm wishing and praying that u will be well.

Not sure if you are covered medically, but 3Snuggles, I think I would see the Dr. Self-diagnosis..and self-medication may be contraindicated, rendering your situation even worse...or mask the symptoms while the situation gets worse. I am NOT a "run to the Dr." person...but when it involves my breathing organs...the Dr. is the best bet! Cheers!

Never diagnose yourself..You find out different illnesses it could be and you start worrying when mostly its just a cold.. My sister is a doctor and I always used to research symptoms I used to have and it always came up with horrible illnesses and it turned out to be nothing. Of course if you are concerned let your doctor check you out
