They kind of look like mine, do they tilt in to clean? If so, we may have the same new windows..lol
Last I was excited about a home repair? Too long ago to remember unfortunately..

Yes they are the same type.
I love the ease of cleaning them a lot.

The basement are the typical casement type so they don't flip for cleaning.
But they're small and ground level for outside cleaning.

Wow they look so big and insulated, I know you will be happy with the end result. I have not had any upgrades as our mean ole landlord refuses to. This place could use an extreme-make over. lol

My living room window is the largest. My windows are all odd shaped too. I think maybe just one is of the typical standard size.

Nice!!! I'm hoping I can do new windows next year (she says with her fingers crossed!) Are you doing the install yourself?
Let's see, the last time I got excited about a home repair was a couple of years ago when I stuck in a new shower stall. The bathroom has a shower stall, as well as a separate tub. I was cleaning the floor of it and I poked my finger through! Yikes, now that was a surprise. Then I got out the old repair records and saw that my Uncle put that in back in 1972 , so I shouldn't have been surprised...but I was! I thought it was going to be a snap, but, as it often is with century homes, there's always a surprise or two hiding where you least expect them. When I went to rip out the old one, I found that the walls had been built around it and I had to dismantle the walls, as well as the floor. But you know, as much as it was a pain in the tukkas, I ended up redoing the plumbing, the walls, the floors, new paint (walls and woodwork) and got a whole new beautiful new room in the process. I think I was more excited when I got done than when I was actually doing it. (Might have even learned a few new words in the process lol.) Happy posting!

I also had a new kitchen faucet and sprayer put in my kitchen by my son-in-law recently. That added so much to the dreary kitchen sink. Your bathroom experience is like most home remodeling jobs, full of unexpected surprises. Grats on your sucessful hard work on the bathroom project/remodeling job.

Wow good for you these look so good. I remember how bad I once needed to replace windows and just couldn't afford to so I can't imagine how excited you and Deb are. I am so happy for both of you.

They now have most windows in and need to insulate, add the trim etc. But there's still a lot of work to do. We will finally be able to open up our basement windows too as those are replaced as well. Happy, happy, happy! LOL!!

I´m always excited about home repairs of any kind, no matter how small they are. This year I´m working as much as I can in my garden and it is thanks to you mainly
. I made raised beds and have been planting veggies everywhere I can see a lump of soil.

I get excited when anyone fixes anything around here. I am going to enjoy seeing the work you had done.

I can see that you are very excited about these windows, and I don't blame you.
I haven't had a home repair as such for a long time. The closest I came to it was getting a kids cubby removed from the back yard of my new home.
that was sort of exciting, as it made the yard look neater and opened up a smallpacth of land. I dug up the ground, a nd fertilised it.
On wednesday I planted tomatoes, capsicums and parsley.

Seven years ago when my son got married I decided to put in a new kitchen floor...which turned into a new stool....new bathroom floor...new medicine cabinet....new counter top...new stove...it was wonderful! I was on a roll and the results were so great....now I need a new floor again!

Windows are a bad source of lost heat in the winter and I'm sure your house will be much better with these new ones!
