With all the "1% vs 99%" crap out there, does the Occupy movement include the wealth of Elected Officials? Prs. Obama's Chicago home is in a gated community, worth over $1.25 million. His lifestyle is very much the same as the "1%" the occupy movement complains about. In fact, "The combined minimum net worth of this year's 50 wealthiest lawmakers was $1.6 billion, over $200 million more than last year's (2010) group." That's an average of $32 Million EACH! And and increase of $4 Million each. So does the "1%" include elected officials too...or only Republican... or is it just Conservative elected officials? Does it include people who the Occupiers are perfectly willing to help get re-elected?

I think I read yesterday that the 1% consists of anyone with an income of over $342,000/yr. That is more than the average person makes, and for those of us struggling, it's not right that these people make so much money and then complain about it. So yes, it includes them.

How many of them complain about making over $342k a year?

Only the ones who feel that they should be earning even more. The ones who feel that they're unfairly taxed and should be able to keep more of what they have.

So why should you be able to keep more of what you have?

Does the Occupy Movement protest the wealth of elected officials? Not if they're liberal / progressive, they don't!

The hypocrisy runs rampant. There are just as many liberal democrats that are wealthy as there are capitalist Republicans. Yet the occupy are forgetting to launch their hate attack against the democrats. How about Soros who funds lots of this liberal idiocy? The elements of truth are hard to find. The public position of obama and his kind is that people with money are guilty of selfishness or worse, and they need to give some of their money away. As soon as obama is out of the public's eye, he is getting cosy with the wealthy - licking their boots and kissing their butt. Obama will do anything for campaign money. Isn't their a word for that kind of person? Who deserves to have someone else's money? Who can support a government that takes money from people in a manner that cannot be considered just or fair? I guess obama heard about Robin Hood and thinks that is some kind of African American group.

I believe that they are unhappy with the politicians as well. But, they actually want to do something about Washington, unlike the Tea Party people who want to ignore our election problems. If we don't take the money out of politics than our elected officials will continue to sell their souls to the highest bidder. Does it really surprise you that millionaires are making more money? I have only been talking about this since I have been on MyLot. I can show you stat after stat that says the same thing, but I guess it takes your own research for you to finally get it.
