Defects causing to the environment because of using A.C

HI Arya, i used Air conditioner... but i try to turn it on as few as possible. i know the bad impact for the environment but my kids need it cause here is so hot. they can't seep when the temperature is hot

very funny. i would if i didnt live in the h3ll state of arizona. believe me, most of the year its hard to survive with the bill we make from it.

I do not think it is the use of air conditioning that hurts the upper ozone layer in the atmosphere but the gases that were being released from faulty units. They were lite gases and made there way up into that region. Some of the gases manufactured have been stopped and/or better maintenance procedures employed (there are cheaters). It is true though that in large populated areas, the air conditioning units do heat up the outside air, increasing the temperature, making the need for more air conditioning and power consumption to increase.
