Malaysia has a lot of similarities to Indonesia. Indonesia should not be angry with their next door neighbour Malaysia as it has given a lot of employment to many Indonsians. The Indonesians in Malaysia are enjoying life here. It is only the media that is making the two countries at loggerheads. You only have to visit Malaysia and you'll understand that Malaysia is not as bad as what you read in your papers.

Crimes happen everywhere and what happened to your citizens being tortured in Malaysia is an isolated case and should not be taken as a yardstick to slander Malaysia on the whole. We have an Indonesian maid who has been working with my mom for more than 10 years and we consider her as part of our family. She is being paid more than the office clerks. We as ordinary citizens of Malaysia have no business to meddle with what is going on in the political fronts of both countries. The political battle between both heads of nations has got nothing to do with us the layman on the street. And it is unfair for anyone to categorize every Malaysians as bad!

Neither Malaysians nor Indonesians can be politically correct when it comes to properties claim. Centuries ago when documentations were not in proper and the migration of people from both countries to all these spratly islands have created more confusions on both governments on the proper demarcation of boundaries thus creating a standstill in formalizing the legality of ownerships. It should be best resolved in the international court of law. Trying to champion one cause blindly is only creating bad bloods among these two nations. @Seisho, your degrading remarks of calling Malaysia a Nation of Thieves is uncalled for and you should do your homework and get your facts correct before prejudging Malaysia on the whole.

adhyz82, I believe claiming a dish's origin isn't uncommon and restricted to Malaysia. I do see other countries including your beloved doing it. Honestly, I do not see any overdoing or deal that is as big as some statutory rights claim of land or border, so I really cannot understand the big reaction here. One mitigating fact which you seem to have overlooked is that people travel and migrate. So, when that happens traditions, culture and even food will be brought along to the new found land. When records of chronology or history are not kept on these aspects, things can become clouded but, what's important here is that the good dish's recipe is not lost, where at the end of the day Muslims in all parts of Malaysia and Indonesia could enjoy it. Before you start all hail Mary on me, I just like to bring to your attention that Semur could be claimed territorially especially when the ingredients and spices can be altered to suit the local taste bud. So, a Malaysia Semur is a Malaysia Semur whilst an Indonesia Semur is a Indonesia Semur. There's a clear distinction and as such Malaysia may just be claiming their localized Semur than your country's. In all fairness, I believe your country is not reacting to the claim is precisely what I have mentioned in the latter. It has nothing to do with your government's passive or indifferent attitude. So, please take a trip and open up your gastronomical experience before you react here.

adhyz82, Look, aren't you talking about FOOD here? As I've already said in my response specifically to this topic you've raised, I believe I am as clear as a mile here. It is really unnecessary to get out of topic with other respondents and most of all, me. So, please be reminded to stay in line and topic because I do not really have to tell you the mockery you bring to yourself. About the dance you've brought up, you may perhaps and if I may further enlighten you here to please start another discussion. It would be great for your post count you know? Otherwise, stay in topic and please do your homework.
