Ever get tired of paying the middle man for the air you breath, water you drink, the food you eat & even for a place to sleep or "own"? Seems like the best things in life God gave & intended them to be free. What things are you tired of paying & any suggestions on different means of attaining these type things? After paying for these things each payday what type of things do you have $$$ left over to enjoy or really live life (if any)?

I am tired of paying for food. I wish we could grow things here. I think that people could live off the grid if they wanted to. Growing their own food, drilling a well, etc. are all ways to live free of paying for food and water atleast. Sleeping when it gets dark and not using much electricity would be good. There are ways of generating power.

I agree with you completely. It gets very frustrating. I'm tired of paying taxes and just all the bills in general. I think when we pay for vehicle insurance they should pay for the maintainence and up keep of the vehicle. It's not like we ever get our money back if we aren't in any accidents. I usually don't have money left over. I like to buy myself small things every now and then.

The way things are any more, it's really hard to come up with alternatives to paying the "middle man." I like the way you put it and I, too, think that God intended the basics of life to be free, although from the beginning, mankind exercised a type of ownership over the land. Native Americans and other nomadic people didn't, but everyone else did. (Ancient cities, farms, etc.) If you could buy a place with a well on it that had good water, you wouldn't have to pay for water. If you used an electric pump, you'd have to pay for the electricity to pump it, though. You could grow your own vegetables and here you could trap rabbits in the winter. For other meat, you'd have to buy a permit to hunt. It seems to be all wrapped up in money and ownership of the state. There's not much difference between now and the dark ages when serfs did all the work and got very little in return. I guess it will always be, until the end.

I will never get tired paying God for all the free things He gave us. I shall be forever be grateful for having give it to us for free. But for the usual things i pay every payday, i know that they are part & parcel of how it is to go on living on this earth. Hence, i don't get tired of them.

After I payed for everything I have about 120 euro left over for the rest of the month to buy food and petrol if needed, school fees, etc etc for 4 persons. So there is nothing left over for buying shoes, clothes, going out, celebrations, presents etc. If money needed for that I take it from the food money.
