Did you find traveling alone easy for you? Like for example, you are the only one traveling and visiting places that you like. Are you afraid to be alone especially the country you visit is not familiar to you. It might get you lost. How do you manage that?

Well travelling alone is not a good idea especially when the country your visiting has security concern and widely non english speaking country. Its hard to communicate and comprehend. And my most concern when travelling alone is. . . who would take my souvenir picture/ capturing myself with the background of panoramic view and beautiful places visited. Its easy to say ohhh. . just ask someone to take picture of you but most of the time its hard asking to strangers.

These days I like to travel with my two young children: my five year old son that moves around in his wheelchair and my three year old daughter that can walk. In my younger days I happily traveled on my own and used travel guide books to help me. I stayed in their recommended accommodation and used their printed maps. I did get lost in Bulgaria, Slovakia and Estonia due to the language barrier or the lack of street names.

I don't mind doing the traveling part alone but I would rather have someone there to share the experience with me. I traveled 19 hours by flights with lay overs to meet friends in Germany and was ok with that. I am just glad they were there to meet me. I would be too afraid to go out anywhere at night by myself

When I was younger I often travelled on my own and I enjoyed my trips a lot. When I visited a new place I always bought a map, but sometimes I still got lost. Sometimes it took me much longer to get back to my hotel than I planned, because I ended up in the wrong part of town, but I wasn't too worried about that and I always managed to get back to my hotel eventually. I also had language problems when I visited a country where I didn't speak the local language, but fortuneately I usually found someone who was able to translate for me. Today I don't travel on my own anymore. My husband and I always travel together.

i have always wanted to travel by my own but the thought that i might get lost would hold me back from my plans.lol i might also consume a lot of money when i travel alone since i am not really familiar of the place. there might be people who would take advantage of you when they know that you are not really from that place.lol! those are just from my negative and imaginative thinking.

Well, I must admit that I don't really like travelling alone. It will just make me feel more lonely. Besides, I will also need to spend more on hotel and flight ticket if ever I am travelling alone. Just like you stated there, I might also get lost too. I have never traveled before, so I am not sure how am I going to feel about it.

I have travelled the world for 40 years and many times I was alone before I married. It is not a problem to be alone - sometimes it is really nice to be alone. Getting lost? Well, I have found it just as easy to get lost in company as it is alone. Sometimes it is more difficult when you place the navigation authority onto someone else. If you navigate yourself then you concentrate more on the job. I prefer now to travel with my wife as I enjoy her company and we can share experiences.
