Orang utan is protected animals in Indonesia...they are rare animal...only in Indonesia, there are Orang Utan..
but their population in indonesia year by year dramatically decreased by many factors..
one of the greatest factors is us (human)...we kill them for making a land for industry forest , and treat Orang utan as enemy...
RCTI reported in their special report, how cruel some of us when treating Orang utan and sometimes they kill Orang Utan..
why our government is not responding that fact? and accept the condition??
C`mon orang utan is protected animal but unprotected...Whats a irony!!

I know man are buiding all those palm oil plantions after they tear down the forests the Orangutan live in. The Orangutan have no were to go and I have heard if they are are found on the plantation they are killed. I have heard people will kill mother Orangutans so they can take the babies and sell them as pets. I think all of is disgusting! I know there are people trying to save them but it sounds like the Indonesia goverment doesn't care! They are letting greed take hold with making money from the plantations! They don't care about the Orangutan and if this doesn't stop the Orangutan will be extinct in the wild in no time at all! I agree! The Orangutan needs to be protected and saved! I think the only way that will happen if Indonesia realizes what is going on and stop it! Easier said then done!

Yes. I also saw this news, on several television stations. I also read the news, on the internet. It is unfortunate that this should happen. Orangutans should be protected, not to be slaughtered. Hopefully the government, take appropriate action, to this problem.

Hi adhyz: I think that the government should accept their responsibility because they are in charge to protect the natural resources of your country. Unfortunately, politicians are professionals at giving excuses and not accept their own responsibilities. People should take serious actions to protect the fauna and the Orang Utan in this case.

There are many species out there supposed to be protected, but remains unprotected. With the increasing need for land for us humans, we have no choice but to destroy their natural habitat. When such animals are on the brink of extinction, only then they are saved and helped. By then it's too late. The same goes for elephants in thailand. There used to be hundreds of thousands of them, but now, it's barely less than 500o left. See what humans have done to them?

hi adhyz82 If its a protected animal anybody caught hurting or killing them should be fined and or jailed too your government should educate Indonesians on protected animals and how if they break the law they will be sent to prison. we must restore the balance of nature or mankind as a higher animal will suffer from
the imbalance of nature.I feel the orang
Utan should be left to run free in the forests.

Hi adhyZ..
I think we all know how week our government in supervise our endanger animal. Like so many Sumatra tiger killed by palm oil farmer. Is always animal to be blame because they enter into farmer plantation field. I think they are the one who wrong because they take they home.
Orang Utan can be a cute pet and I know there are so many people who wiling to pay a lot to had them. Once they become pet its will hard to them to survive in the wild, its why they are rescue center in Borneo.
We just not realize how priceless what we got.

they don't have enough money to do that
we only can rely on LSM ( Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat)
we are supposed to be the one to stop it
