Do you have such habit? While working on Computer watching TV also

Hi dear! You see our mind could attend to one task at a time. Our mind is such that we just can not concentrate on two things simultaneously. Those who claim are - extra ordinary. I have heard some people say that they could work on-line, while listening to their favorite music. I suppose if they are concentrating on their on-line activities and on their laptop/PC, they just can not enjoy music. I feel utterly disturbed if TV is playing side by side and am working on my PC. I just can not concentrate. I want complete peace, while working on computers.

No fanta I have no such habit because I work on lappi and my lappi is in my bedroom. I cant do the work before my MIL so I not watch the TV and work on lappi both. TV is in hall.

Sometimes, i do mylotting while watching TV. During commercials i would be on the laptop typing . But when what i am watching has continued, i will also discontinue what i am doing on the computer.

yes. I sit before a table on which laptop is kept and I watch tv cinema and type mylot or do some other work. But ideal thing is to watch TV separately. Do computer work separately. good day.

I can do that before when I am just surfing. But when answering and participating on discussions I normally put my concentration on the computer. TV will be playing but I'd just be wasting the electricity since I won't watch it

Well my TV is downstairs, so I only have a computer to work with in my room. I barely ever watch the TV, everythings on the net, from streams, to cricket, wwe and movies etc.

hi fanta good discussion a lot of young girls can actually work on the computer and watch TV too. I cannot as it distracts me from what I am doing here. thats called mulitasking and not every one can or should do it. as far as eye problems looking off at something else every so often is what the eye doctor told me to do to relax my eyes. Fanta it depends on what kind of work she is doing if its school work I would say she should keep her mind on the computer, do her work then go watch TV as she needs her mind on school not a TV program.As for you keep the habit you have as I myself can not do both efficiently. so it depe nds if its important wo rk she is doing she needs to focus on it. do not play while doing school work.

I actually do have the habit of being on my computer and watching television. It's a habit that I've had for a while actually. I don't always do it, but it's still a habit that I have. It's something that I like doing.

Hi Fanta, when i was free and feels bored, i do watched TV while my computer was on. I usually will watch my favorite TV programs first before begin my online works. Because i am visiting many sites at a time, so i prefer doing my online works without watching TV at the same time. Because i feel i can doing better in my online works by doing that way. Besides that, i can save some electricity as well. So, i think i am same like you now, Fanta, can't watch computer and TV at the same time anymore.

Hi fanta! Even if I can do both activities but I would rather choose either one of them. I used to do both watching the tv while surfing the internet but since I would need to read. look at it and do things that require my attention so most of the time I neglect the programs on the tv screen rather than the computer monitor. Now I would rather choose only one of them as it seems I am wasting the electricity if I need to do both..(^^)

I don't that because I like to concentrade on the comment I am writing so when I am in mylot I don't watch TV, because of this we ae saving a lot of electricity here. I think she change the habit I think we have to do one thing at a time to do it correctly.

I have the tv opened on my PC almost all the time...well i don`t watch it but i listen a news tv station while i`m doing something else on my PC.I don`t even have a TV anymore since i don`t need one.

I watch tv while in computer..but i am off and on watching and more in the internet.Because itis hard to focus in here if i am in here and watching tv.

Yes i am. When i use my computer, it will be better if i turn on my TV also. It will be better if there are more sound when i working on my computer. Turning on my TV will make me not bored so fast.

I would use my computer in front of the TV and reading a book, occassionally picking up my dinner into my mouth, and at the same time having a chat with the family. No wonder I am stressed!!! I think you should stay as you are.

Well I don't watch T.V. that often, but I do watch movie while on my computer, there's no harm on that as long as you keep your eyes far from T.V. and you have a protective screen for you monitor.

fantabulus I prefer doing one thing at a time but if I have to I can multitask..By the way, it's said women multitask better than men.. lol it comes frome cave man times when women had to keep the fire going, cook and watch the kids all at the same time and men just had to go out and focus on one thing...hunting...

Hello Fanta, I do that sometimes but most of the time i prefer one work at a time.Secondly my PC and TV are in separate rooms so there is no chance of me seeing TV and surfing net at same time though i listen to the TV and whenever i find something interesting i jump in to another room to see what's going on in TV.

I do exactly the same thing especially if what Iam doing in the computer doesn't require alot of concentration.

I think it is not good to do both the task at same time IE, seeing computer and TV. I think it will surely effect your eyes because you are concentrating on two tasks at same time with your eyes. I think it will surely effect your eyes.
