Obama and the left prove they don't care about green energy.

$528 million was earmarked for use to promote green energy. It was given to Solyndra so they could use it to manufacture green energy products. Just months after the company received the money, it went bankrupt. So, that means that none of that money actually went to producing the products needed to produce or use green energy. Obama defends himself, and the left defend him. His supporters echo those excuses and make up some of their own. Meanwhile, the money that could have gone to companies that do produce such products... So neither Obama or his supporters really care about green energy. If his supporters did care, they would be livid about the money squandered. But they aren't are they.

You know, President Obama shouldn't visit any more businesses period. It seems a Presidential visit is accompanied by the bad luck to go bankrupt at some point in the near future.

Actually President Obama visited the Jeep plant here in Toledo a few months ago, and they just announced earlier this week that they are making a new vehicle at the plant that will create 1100 new jobs. Of course republican governor who HATES unions, and all union jobs made sure he was there for good news seeing how it is few and far between.

Was it one where he made a televised speech? Because that appears to bring on the bad luck.

Ted, why don't we make such a big deal when the pentagon shuts down a program like the Crusader which cost the American tax payers $11 BILLION and produced the same thing as Solyndra? Oh I know the answer to that one: It doesn't suite your purpose!!! I am not happy about this happening, but I am trying to stop this from happening again here in Ohio where the republican governor is trying to get the president to give a company here in Ohio over $2 BILLION to fund a nuclear project that NO private bank will fund. It will save a grand total of 400 jobs. That is what I am doing to stop this stuff from happening.

Ted, are you made that you can't defend the HORRIBLE ideas that republicans have made when it comes to defense? I am just doing exactly what you do to me, and that is provide an alternative point of view. I thought this was a free country, last time I checked it was!!!!

It is not about green energy it is about paying off your supporters. It used to be you would give your big supporters an ambassadorship and they would be happy. Now you simply bail your supporters out and attack your enemies with all the force of the Federal government.

There is no excuse at all. Who in hell gives that kind of money to any company without first checking the financial stability of it. Really, they had to be doing poorly anyway to cave just months after recieving this money. And why is the money handed over prior to them producing the product?? No matter how you shake it, its a dumb move. I understand that the money was to be used to manufacture the products but if they were thriving financially then they would have been able to produce the product. I don't know. Our government sux and has for a long time.

What I know from watching this mes sis that Obama doesn't regard the future viability of a company as long as it's intentions are good. You know the road to h-e-double hockey sticks is paved with good intentions. I would hope he'd quit the politics and I think you make a good point Parated2k about Obama's excuses and defending himself, however it falls on deaf ears because frankly most of America is brainwashed by him. The world is truly coming to an end whether you believe it or not.

To waste the taxpayer's money like that is not only a disgrace; it is also unethical. But with the current government, they can totally waste half a billion dollars and not be accountable to anyone. For many years the left has used environmental activisim as a means to push their agenda of greed and corruption. For the liberals with power and money, protecting the environment is their last concern, but they love to use environmental issues to control people and get their money. Maybe healthcare is just another issue used to get control, power and money.

You make a good point, here. How about the failure to make green energy? All they want to do is point fingers and say it was not my fault.

I don't think he cares about anything except for wasting money and double talking. I listen to him a lot and frankly I think he has a knack for talking so good you forget what he says after he says it, but you think he sounded good while he was saying it. I don't understand how people defend him so much. I would vote for Herman Cane in a heart beat.. hope he makes it to the primaries.
