Your dream job.

What job did you dream about having when you were a child? Did you get that job? Did you change your mind? When I was very little I wanted to be a nurse but as I got older I didn't want a job with people and I'm not very scientifically minded. Later I wanted to be a journalist or a lawyer but with zero family support I couldn't stay in school and left at sixteen and got a job in a post office. What about you?

My first dream job was being a movie star and driving a Jaquar. Then later I wanted to be a writer and haven't changed that since. Different ideas as in editor and journalist but romance writer is probably it for me. I graduated high school and got a job at a telephone company and was in customer service for nearly thirty years. Retired in 2006.

I wanted to become a "Nun" when i was a kid and up to my teen years. I used to attend seminars to become a nun in our church during my high school years. My mind is so set that i will become a nun when i reach the age of 18. Before my high school graduation i asked my parents, that i decided enter the monastery after my graduation. But because i am their only girl they did not allow me,even locked me in my room .Eventually,i got their point and try to enroll for college. In my college years i started forgetting that dream and pursue with my study. Know i know why i wasn't allowed to become a nun,its not my calling. Now i am happy being a house wife and a mom. :-) No regrets.

My dream job is that of a video game tester. I love playing video games and that job really would be a dream job for me. But apart from this, one job which I really love is that of a teacher. At around 40 odd years of age, I would like to take up this job. But currently my financial commitments do not let me take it up. Cheers! Ram

I think that I am very lucky, because I have managed to find the perfect job for me. I work from home as a writer, and this means that I am literally able to work as much or as little as I want to at any given time. This is the best job that I could possibly have wished for when I was growing up, as it means that I am able to be here for my family and sort everything out in the house while my partner goes out to work, and I am able to get some work done and earn some money for myself at the same time. I knew that I would get my dream job eventually, and I never planned to settle for anything less than my dream.

Hi hvedra: When I was a kid I had so many dream jobs but none of them could be realized. I would enjoy to have a job where all I needed to do would be tasting food or writing about the things I like or not. Another dream job would be just Mylotting imaging that you just have to be here and you earn enough to live ALVARO

I have always wanted to be writer. I knew I want it since I was around 12.. I haven't got it. Though I am writing for several sites like Helium, wikinut, and have my own blog.. but, still I don't think it is enough. That's all because my writings haven't earned me my living. I have my day job in the office and I do it because I have to.

I ever attended ordination of priest when I was still very young. I dreamed of being one of them. I was motivated by them and would really want to work as a priest when I grew older. Unfortunately, I didn't become a priest, I worked as cashier in the front office.

Hello friend... Nice question....when I was about 15 years old, I dreamed about being an Airhostess..I was seeking about that job's requirements...I found that clearly...And said that to my parents...My mom supported me...I loved about thinking their lifestyle,Salary,Glamour etc...I went for attending their classes as a small introduction...But they had arranged a selection round...I was thrilled really...I got selection there...And I said this to my parents...They agreed..But some of my relatives were not supported to join me there...There happened a plane accident on that time and they told to my parents that the all people are getting placement at the other countries...But that was not a problem for me..My parents were trapped in their talk...So they didn't allow me to join there...I left that dream there....And now I am doing Bca..After that,I want to do Mca and then I want to do the software engineering...I like to become a software engineer now...I want to hard work to achieve that.... :-)

When I was about to enter college, I wanted to be a writer. The parents didn't like the idea because they believed a business course will give me more success by way of job opportunities. Since they will be the ones paying for the education, there was no way out for me but to follow. I landed a job in Human Resources. While I enjoyed the job, there was no fulfillment. It was just a means to earn money. After 20 years on the job, I resigned and went back to my first love..that is writing. I am now an article writer and even if the earnings can not be compared with the HR job,I am happy. Now,I have found myLot and I hope to make new friends online. Being able to write has given me a chance to communicate my thoughts and opinions. it's just too sad that I was not able to pursue this when I really wanted to, though it's never too late.

Well, I always wanted to be a famous singer or writer. When I lost my voice, I knew that one of those chances had gone out the window. I am still doing what it takes to be a famous writer. I write as often as I can.

When I was little I wanted to be a navy seal or a ranger, but then I grew up and discovered that war wasn't fun on real life as it was on video games and movies, when I first saw the images of Auschwitz, D Day and the movie "Black Hawk Down" I changed my mind immediately. Now I'm studying to be a software Engineer, it's being pretty nice so far, the job market seems pretty good for this job. I just hope I don't regret this. Cheers

I have always wanted to become a doctor, and in pursuit of my dream job currently. I am really so passionate about it. Unfortunately, I have already applied one time for a medical school, but did not make it. So not I'm improving my grades further so I can achieve my goal. Fortunately, I'm not tapped out. :)
