Since I was successful uploading the craft, I thought I'd show you this bee hive

It's a paper wasp nest. I changed the picture to straight up and down, but it didn't give me that as a selection when I came here. I'm still learning the ins and out of this. Must be in diddn't stay when I changed it. It's about a foot is size and a few inches off the ground. I didn't see it until the leaves were gone. I could have walked into it and never even seen it when the leaves are out. Thank goodness I don't walk in that area much. Have the seasons revealed anything knew to you? Have yhou been lucky not to have anything bad happen to you? How has your photography been going?

Frightening but also a work of art by the wasps. When it is empty and you can handle it it is amazing how light and delicate the nest is. On the photo front - you need to load your picture into a graphics program (you usually get one with your camera) and rotate the picture to the left 90 degrees and then Save-as as a .JPG and give it a new file name. When you load the new file to MyLot it will be the right way up. Keep up the good work and watch your step!

Ok, I rotated it, but I didn't save it under a new name. That's where I went wrong. Great!, Thanks for the advice.

I was watering my yard, back when I was younger and actually HAD a yard, and I sprayed a spot and wasps came out! Needless to say, I dropped the hose and ran back into the house!

i stepped on a nest before and was stung too many times to count. Luckily, I survived!

I have never been stung by a wasp or a bee, and that's a good thing considering my reactions to ants after being stung by a scorpion...

I've never been stung by a scorpion or had reactions to ants. Sounds frightening.

I don't do the photography but I can comment upon the wasp nest. They build these nests so they are hidden as protection. Coming upon a nest in the winter won't be dangerous to you. When winter gets near, the worker bees all die. The queen then leaves and goes to some other sheltered place to spend the winter. Since my activity has become limited, I don't get out and walk like I did at one time so the opportunity for finding hazards has been reduced. I've only been stung once by a bee. The wasps can sting more than once which is unlike the regular honey bee.

I stepped on a bees nest one summer and never saw it. I was stung too many times to count. If I had been walking this year before the leaves went off the trees, I could have run into this, too.

I am unable to see the pictures on here right now. I have seen wasp nests before. The only thing worse is a yellow jacket. They can be nasty. My grandmother was climbing up in the rafters in the garage and came into contact with a nest of yellow jackets. She got a nasty sting on her forehead. No fun!

No pictures are coming up for me right now either. My husband gets a camera, I learn how to use it, I put two pictures on Mylot, and now I can't see any pictures. That's upsettting.

My scanner, I can only upload to my profile. My husband's new digital camera seems to be doing great. So for the last 3 1/2 years, I couldn't upload either.

I have not been able to upload any pictures since I first signed up here and added some. I have tried from several different places and ways. Nothing works.
