Yes, you earn for commenting. By the way, there is no thread in myLot, just discussion. As such, it is the commenting back and forth that makes it a discussion.

Glad to be of help. Truth be told, I didn't read it either. I started reading it only when I have a question and I was told by senior members to go through it. The FAQs and the guidelines and the Terms of Service give us all we need to know about myLot. Oh well, there can be many interpretation of the guidelines http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx , but, that is why we have GAA monitoring here.

Mylot earning based on activity. On discussion based, it mean something like this: You type, you earn
But these only apply on discussions who still active. If the discussion itself get deleted by admin, you don't get anything. If you violate discussion; instead earning money your earning will reduced.
Is that explain enough for you?

You do not earn anything for being awarded Best Response. Positive ratings, however, will influence your earnings.

If "best respond" also count, I already rich by now ....LOL
But like owlwings said, positive rating or best respond will influence your earning.
More responds on your discussion doesn't mean you will get more earning. If you not comment back on responder, you won't get anything. You type, you earn; they type, they earn.

Yes you are paid here for responding and commenting on the discussion but friend you are not paid for starting discussion.
Many of the users get confused if they are paid for commenting or not but the fact is unlike other sites where you are paid for how many response you get here on MYLOT you are paid for your activities not for others unless and untill it is your referral.
