What would you ask the job interviewer ?

When taking a job interview, of course, the interviewer would be asking the job applicant many questions to assess the applicant's capabilities. And, that is the chance for the applicant to ask questions too. If I were to take an interview, one question I would like to ask is how much travel I would have to expect. How about yourself ? What would be the question you would like to ask the interviewer ?

I suppose I would ask if there were chances to advance in the company. I would also want to know about travel requirements. I would also ask what they wanted to accomplish by hiring me. Especially if I were going into the field that I work in now.

Hello Jen. How are you ? Yes, of course, it would be good to work in the sector one is specializing in. That would certainly be a very fair question.

Hi greenline, It would be nice to ask the interviewer what are the chances of career growth in the company. Ask for examples and see if you can go at par with the policies. There are companies that hire jobs for managerial levels internally, meaning they hire through promotions. It is nice to work for those companies instead of the other ones who get managers from outside of the workforce. Asking the interviewer the benefits and compensations is also good. You are applying for a job but it doesn't mean that you are the only one who benefits from it. The companies also need something from the employees. It should be a give and take deal. So an open communication is a must. They ask you what you can contribute for the company so ask them as well what the company can do for you and for your career growth. But be cautious when asking, try not to sound too demanding as it may put the interviewer off if you deliver the questions too forward.

That is very well put. It should be a give and take deal. The message you are giving certainly will be very helpful for people going for the job interviews. Yes, of course, one should not be too demanding. Thank you for the advice.

Hi greenline, Yes, I also think that this is a good practice. I admit though that I have not really practiced asking about my own benefits until recently when I read this from a magazine. ^^ Good day!

I think to ask them exactly what they expect of you and for you tell them you would like to give them the best of your ability. Make them see you are interested in their company and or product and be genuine....hopefully they will like you.

I might ask why people leave the position. What are its hard parts or parts that people cannot cope with.

That is very good. I would say that is an honest and straight forward question. The interviewer certainly would understand it too, I would think. Thank you.

Well well well, This is the part of job seeking I am intimidated. Sometimes being interviewed for a job is ridiculous because you have written all about yourself and skill you want to impart to the company you are applying yet they interview you with the same content! However, I like this part too because I can ask durectly from the interviewer how much money is involved and how much work and time is to be given.

Hello Irene. Yes, that's right. An interview is the time not only for the company to find out about the applicant, but also for the applicant to find out about the company. You can certainly ask directly. That's how I see it.

Hello Greenline! I think it would be nice to inquire on the medical benefits/ insurance. Do i get to attend seminars for my career growth? What is the status of the employer?

Hello Grace. Medical benefits/insurance is indeed essential. It is certainly good to know what the future looks like in terms of career growth. Very good question, I would say.

Hi, I appreciate the answer of Girl thinking - asking about the career advancement. In my case I would like to know what would be my key roles and responsibilities and the system of reporting. This question may reflect my interest to join that company. However I will not forget to ask about the special benefits, if any, offered to employees.

The question would depend on the position being applied for. Travel would not enter the equation if I was applying as a Walmart greeter.
