Plan Cancelled

We were supposed to go out of the house today and visit my mother-in-law together with my son and my husband but when we are all done dressing up and about to go we realize that it’s raining and we can’t go yet as we will ride a motorcycle. It’s our means of transportation. We waited for a few minutes expecting that the rain would stop but it didn’t. Until its almost lunch time already and we got sleepy. We slept for a while and when we woke up its still raining. So, it means our plan was cancelled! We can’t go out and we just stayed in our house the whole day.
Did a similar experience happened to you that you have planned something but have to cancel it because of certain reasons?

haha, it's common for me. Whenever it's raining just before i left my house, i will cancel all my appointments citing laziness due to the effect of rain.. lol =D All my friends knows me that's why they would always suggest coming to my place to fetch me whenever there's bad weather.. lol 
Most of the time, i won't turn them down since it's goodwill on their side and it's a free ride, so why not?? lol :D The only time i would be out while it's raining, would be jogging time. I love running under the rain, regardless of light or heavy.. haha

It just shows you, who is in control. We are only in control of ourselves so it is important to remain flexable at all times. I always have something else to do, even if it's just washing floors or windows. Most of the time I read when there is nothing else to do and sometimes even when I have a lot to do.

hello red_amethyst,
your main topic is kind a timing on what i am experiencing in my life now a days. that, six months ago, i have redirected my career path into another venture. due to a long term plan that we aim before so i decided to make a career redirection. however, due to some unknown reason, that plan was put in vain. that during that six months, the plan that we aim was become vague.
with your main discussion, at least you know why your plan was cancelled, that is due to the rainy weather. but, on my situation, i really do not know what was happened. that one day, the long term plan that we aim to hit was thrown away to nowhere.

Well, if the occasion is so important, we don't let the rain deter us from going. But of course when it gets too heavy, like it's already a bit flooding on the way, we will not go anymore. Our safety if still important.

Sometimes we have canceled trips for different reasons, like headache,we don't feel like going anymore,or we receive a last minute phone call from the people we are going to visit that have another plan.
So yes sometimes we have to change plans, I think that you had a great day sleeping during the rain.I love it!

yes, certainly a lot of times.
it's because we have the motorcycle as our transportation same with you.
it's disappointing especially when i am, much eager to go the place but would be cancelled because of the season.
too bad we have not saved a lot of money to have our own car.
we have sold our 1st car. so maybe it's my time someday to purchase the car for myself and another for my parents.

Hi there Red Amethyst. I would say that the same happens to everyone, i guess it just meant that sometimes even if we do plan on things to happen, we are most likely to still not know what will happen. There are just some things that are out of our control. :D hehe But yeah, this has happened to me as well.

There have been times when I have had to cancel my plans. This month I was to take leave from Office and had made nice plans for my holidays. But last minute my boss decided that I cannot go on leave so have had to cancel all my plans. I feel lousy now going to work everyday not knowing when my next holiday will happen.

Sorry to hear about your cancelled plan to visit your mother-in-law my friend. It do happens really when your about to go then something unexpected comes up. It rains the whole day in our place and I guess in some part of the country too.Anyway your family can visit them some other time when the weather gets better.
Yeah, it do happens to me too when I'm all set up and ready to go but because of circumstances or something that needs immediate attention I have to postpone my plan. But there's always next time.Have a nice day.

Yes. Sometimes. But raining isn't a reason for me not to cancel a plan especially when it is a very important thing. Plan will only be cancelled if there is already a storm or when the rain is so heavy. Other is when a problem arises in the house and you really can't go.

Sure has happened to me before. Just like when me and my 3 boys woke up on a saturday morning expecting to have a nice morning of fishing, only to be let down by the same thing, rain. Rained all day, and we really wanted to go catch some fish. But we made the best of the day inside watching movies and playing games =)

Yes,we are not control of the weather to be always the same.And we have plans but sometimes not also succeed because of the circumstances that comes..but still to be thankful.

Me and my cousins are planning to go to the mall to have some bonding cause almost all of us are working now.But it was also cancelled due to heavy rain.We just hang out in our house to cook something to eat and just chatted about things that happen to us,Updates.

I have got such experiences. one day we all plan to go for a birthday party , the party is in the evening, but my mother in-law have some stomach problem after the lunch due to the severe pain we cancelled the trip. That time we all get sad, planing and after that canceling is a painful experience.

I was having many situations in my life but i did not cancel any trip or journey because of whether conditions.
Once i and family was planned to go to my cousins house at Delhi. We were not possible to go to delhi on planned date because there was strike in my locality. So I was not able to go.
