One of my friends is really afraid to drive..Not only car but also motorcycle and even bicycle. He said that he has experienced accident when he was a child that makes him having some kind of traumatic syndrome. So now he depends on public transportation and his sister, yes his sister able to drive anything and seems funny to see them riding motorcycle when her sister who is so small and he is on the back, my friends has big body..I think he must learn to drive and fight against his syndrome or find wife who can drive..maybe this not important when he lives in place that has many good public transports..what do you think?

it's everybody's fear i guess.that was how i felt too when it was my first time.negative thoughts ate me until i strived hard and try. i told myself it will be now or never.i find it hard riding in a public bus or public transport vehicles when i ran out of time for work. it's always a nuisance for me especially times like that.

I was in a car accident with my mom and brother when I was around 12. My mom hit another car when she was not paying attention. It was not a serious crash and no one was injured. It did traumitized me! I could of gotten my drivers license at 16. Well I was too scared! So I had to rely on my parents to drive me around! When I got to be 18 I was so sick of being driven around I decided it was time to get my drivers license! I put my feear away! I still get nerveous in heavy traffic and hate going over hight bridges! I am glad I got my license when I did! It opened a new world to me!

I think he needs some therapy, I dunno if there's a therapy for that I'm pretty sure that consulting to a psych or doctor should help.
Also, if he can ride to a motorcycle, then it would be possible if he'll drive one.

I was learning how to drive through my husband. But because he would always get high pitched when he is teaching me how to drive , hands on, i quit.
Though on the second thought, i can understand my husband's annoyance. No matter how hard he teaches me , i just don't learn how to. I am a nervous type of woman. When i see big cars coming while i will be driving , i feel afraid and cannot go on. I feel so nervous.
I really don't want to drive. Period.

i don't know how to drive a car too... i know how to drive a motorcycle but mostly i use public transport. I didn't fear of an accident, what i'm afraid is that i survive an accident but i have to pay the damage, because i don't have too much money, i rather use public transport as much as i can... i only use motorcycle if it really necessary.

Few years ago my partner and me got car accident. Other car hit in our car. I was in shock and up today I don't remember what really happened. When after this accident I sat on the passenger seat I was scared. It was almost panic. I hated this feeling but after few months I overcome my fear. I don't blame this man that he is scared. I can understand him.
